The Bachelorette featured Jenn Tran saying, "I love you," to Devin Strader and eliminating Jonathon Johnson after Fantasy Suites during the Season 21 episode that aired Tuesday night on ABC.

Before The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All special kicked off, footage aired from the conclusion of Jenn's Fantasy Suite Week in Hawaii.
Devin had just visited Jenn in her hotel room to tell her how he was really feeling. Devin had been struggling with anxiety and stress because he loved Jenn but she wasn't saying it back. Devin felt like an option rather than The One.
"This is probably the end for me and it scares me to no end, but I can't keep moving forward without getting this off my chest," Devin explained in a confessional.
Jenn was very surprised to see Devin, and she looked a little worried.
Devin explained to Jenn how he had cherished every moment with her on The Bachelorette and was wearing his heart on his sleeve but he doubted where her head was at with him.
Devin said he didn't want to put pressure on Jenn because he knew this process was difficult for her but he had been a woman's second and third option before.
"I felt like the safe option before, and I feel like a safe option for you... I feel like I'm wanted here, but I don't feel like I'm needed here, and that scares me because I risked everything for you -- my feelings and my sanity," Devin shared.
"I want to get to the end, but I don't know how to get there with you right now, and that's not for a lack of feelings."
Devin pointed out how a potential engagement was right around the corner and he didn't know how Jenn was feeling.
Jenn apologized for not reassuring Devin, and she broke down into tears.

Jenn said she wasn't great at expressing herself yet she wanted Devin to feel chosen.
"I don't know how to be in a relationship, and I don't know how to be maybe what you need me to be. I want to do that for you... in the way that you do it for me week after week," Jenn told Devin.
Because Devin didn't feel love from Jenn, she wondered if she was doing something wrong.
"I don't know what I would do if you weren't here and if I didn't feel the love from you and if we weren't together. I don't know what I would do," Jenn shared.
"Devin, I do love you, you freaking idiot! I love you. I do. And sometimes I don't know how to be as amazing as you are."
"I do love you, Jenn," Devin responded.
Devin said she felt closer to Jenn and stronger for her than ever before. Devin described himself as "elated" in that moment, and he said that's all he needed to hear to continue The Bachelorette process with confidence.

Jonathon told the cameras that while he had been a slow burn, he could see a future with a Jenn and could envision her being a part of his family.
Jonathon said he never let the thought of Jenn's relationships with other guys get into his head until that very day. He acknowledged that Devin and Marcus were both great guys.
"I'm my own worst enemy, and I regret the fact that I wasn't able to just jump into [with Jenn]. I just want to express to her how I feel. I just hope to God that I'm not too late, because I know she is The One for me," Jonathon told The Bachelorette cameras.
When Jenn stood before her Final 3 bachelors in a sexy orange dress, she called her decision nearly "impossible."
Jenn then handed out roses to Devin and Marcus, which made The Men Tell All studio audience gasp in shock.

Jenn walked Jonathon out, and Jonathon told Jenn the hardest part of their breakup was how his slow-burn approach to the process was his own fault.
"I was on a walk on the beach last night and I found these chairs that overlooked the ocean, and I just needed a second to think," Jonathon shared.
"The whole time I was sitting there, I was thinking, 'I found the clarity I needed,' and there was nobody I wanted to be sitting there with more than you. It hit me that I took too long to realize that, to realize how incredible you are."
Jonathon said Jenn had taught him so much about himself and what he wants and expects in a partner moving forward.
"I think you were perfect for me and I wasn't perfect for you, and that's a really hard pill to swallow," Jonathon lamented.
Jenn shared how their relationship was based off a friendship at first and she could truly be herself with him. Jenn confirmed that Jonathon had taught her a lot about herself as well.

"I'm so mad at myself. I could've gotten there sooner," Jonathon tearfully said in his final words following his elimination.
"I could've done better. I could've been better. I can see an amazing future with this girl, and I feel like the biggest idiot in the world because something amazing was right in front of me and I was too much my own enemy to see it until I was too late."
Jonathon admitted he was "just tired of standing in" his own way.
Jonathon, however, revealed on The Men Tell All that he was able to heal from his breakup with Jenn and he'll be joining Bachelor in Paradise's tenth-season cast when the show returns in 2025.
