The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky cut Ty Brown and narrowed her search for love to four bachelors during last night's sixth-season The Bachelorette broadcast on ABC.

"I just really thought I was the perfect guy for her.  I was just so sure that I was going to get to take her home," Ty said after Ali eliminated him at the last Rose Ceremony before she embarked on hometown dates with each of her final four suitors.

"It would be nice to have somebody to share stuff with, and you know, it's not going to happen.  It'll be tough for a while."

"I'm kind of really lost right now [and] don't know what to think.  Like, what do you do from here?  What do you do when everything seemed right and obviously it was wrong?" the 31-year-old medical salesman from Nashville, TN asked.

"I'm pissed off because she made her own choice.  And I hope she realizes that."

The Bachelorette's seventh sixth-season episode began with the five remaining bachelors meeting host Chris Harrison in a plaza in Lisbon, Portugal.

Once there, Chris told the men that Lisbon would be their final destination before Ali's final four suitors would get to take her on hometown dates in their hometowns.

In addition, he also revealed that the upcoming week would feature three individual dates and one two-on-one date with Ali -- none of which would feature roses.

"Nobody is going home on the dates this week." he said.

Ali's first date was a one-on-one with Roberto Martinez, a 26-year-old insurance agent from Charleston, SC.  After spending the day wandering the streets of Lisbon sightseeing, the pair enjoyed a private picnic and watched the sun set from the top steps of a castle.

"There's no doubt in my mind that I can fall in love with Roberto," Ali gushed afterwards.  "I thought Roberto was too good to be true but I feel like he really is just that good.  I'm realizing that Roberto could really be the one for me."

Ali's next date was a two-on-one date with Ty and Frank Neuschaefer, a 31-year-old retail manager from Geneva, IL.  After beginning the date with a helicopter ride around the countryside, the threesome landed at another castle, where they enjoyed an awkward "intimate" dinner for three.

Afterward, Ali asked for some private time with each bachelor.

"I have a whole bunch of questions that I want to ask the guys, but I can't ask them when the two of them are both sitting with me," she explained later.

During their alone time, Ali asked Ty -- whose "traditional gender roles" upbringing had emerged as a concern for The Bachelorette star -- how his family would deal with the fact that she was planning to be "more of a worker."

"They know if I'm happy [then] they're going to be satisfied.  They're going to have to go on their gut on me, and how I feel about you... that's what they're going to have to go on," replied Ty.  

"I am all for someone furthering their career, doing what they want to do.  I want somebody to want something.  I want to ease your mind and I think it's awesome that you have ambitions and goals.  I'm all about you doing what you want to do and being who you are.   It tickles me to death to know that you have a plan, that you know what you want, that is very appealing."

Meanwhile, Frank used his own alone time with Ali to reveal that he currently lives at home with his parents.

"One thing you need to know, interestingly, [is] something that has brought my family even closer together -- well you know, I quit my job, went to Europe, was in Europe for a while, came back, [and had] no job.  I gave up my condo in the city so I moved back home and that's where I am now," he told Ali after assuring her that she would feel like part of his family if she visited his hometown.

"That's something I haven't shared with you yet but that's kind of a function of, first of all, the transition period of my life.  I haven't been home since I was 18."

Ali took Frank's news in stride.

"I can understand why Frank would wait to tell me that he lives at home, because that could seem like he lacks ambition.  At the beginning I could pre-judge him for that, [but] at this point I don't care where Frank lives, I like Frank for who he is," she said afterwards.

However the pair's private time still ended with Ali still voicing some concern about Frank.

"It's funny... you're everything that I said I wanted but everything I fear," she told him.

"What does that mean?" he asked.

"I dunno... your funny and you're interesting but I think whatever sort of fears you have about me I have the same ones about you," Ali replied.

Ali's third date was a one-on-one date with Kirk DeWindt, a 27-year-old sales consultant from Green Bay, WI.  After beginning their date with lunch at an outdoor cafe, the couple enjoyed a horse and carriage ride to a palace overlooking the city.  Once the sun set, the pair had a romantic dinner on the palace's rooftop.

During dinner, Ali told Kirk that she was concerned that he would decide she won't "good enough one day," however he dismissed the idea.

"You should not think that.  That should never cross your mind," he replied.  "I'm not falling in love with the idea of you, I'm not falling in love with the concept of love.  It's because I really care about you."

All of Ali's concerns seemed resolved by the time the date of over.

"I feel for this guy, and the emotional connection that we have is so rare," she gushed.

Ali's last date was one-on-one date with Chris Lambton, a 33-year-old landscaper from Dennis, MA that The Bachelorette star felt hadn't been opening up to her. 

After beginning the date with a scooter ride during which Ali chided Chris' slow driving, the couple enjoyed a roadside picnic where Ali asked Chris about his family and mother, who passed away about a year and a half ago.

"It was really important to me that he was able to open up more about his mom," Ali explained afterwards.  "I can feel Chris' walls coming down, I just don't know if it's a little too late."

Later, the couple visited a winery where they sampled some wine and Chris gave Ali a bracelet that he'd had custom-made by a family friend.

The date ended with Chris appearing to have satisfied all of Ali's concerns.

"I honestly feel that Chris and I took a huge step forward in our relationship, the walls finally came down and he really opened up to me," Ali gushed afterwards. 

"I think even though we've taken little steps up until now, I think Chris and I could take huge leaps the next few weeks, and I'm hopeful that will happen.  Chris would make an amazing husband."

The Bachelorette's seventh sixth-season Rose Ceremony then took place that evening and Ali presented roses to Chris, Frank, Roberto, and Kirk -- leaving Ty the odd man out.

"How are you, are you okay?" Ali asked Ty as she walked him to a waiting limousine.

"I'm just disappointed.  I really do really like you, and you have your thoughts and you have the reasons that you [did] what you did," he replied.

"I just thought that maybe in the long run, I just couldn't see us working," Ali said.

"I had some unbelievable feelings, and [I'm] just a little disappointed," Ty replied.  "I wish it could have been different but it's not, and thank you for everything."

The Bachelorette's next sixth-season episode will air Monday, July 12 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
