Ali Fedotowsky began her trip around the world and two bachelors were given the boot in the Big Apple during last night's The Bachelorette sixth-season broadcast on ABC.

Jesse Beck, a 24-year-old general contractor from Peculiar, MO, and Jonathan Novack, a 30-year-old weatherman from Houston, TX, both failed to receive a rose from the former The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love bachelorette.

"I should not be going home tonight. That was the first time I actually thought I was going to get a rose and I didn't get a rose, so I am surprised,"said Jonathan.

"I'm just dumbfounded. I don't even understand how these other guys... I just can't understand how they're up there and I'm down here. It just doesn't make sense to me. This was a chance for me to find real love and Ali could have been my wife. I don't know if I'm going to find love."

The Bachelorette's fourth sixth-season episode began with the 11 remaining bachelors being met by host Chris Harrison, who explained that there would be one group date and two individual dates during the upcoming week.

Ali would have a rose to give on each date, and if a bachelor received a rose he'd be safe at the upcoming ceremony. If a bachelor failed to receive a rose on the individual date, he'd be going home immediately. Not everyone would have a date with Ali this week.

In addition, he revealed the bachelors were leaving the Malibu mansion for a globe-trotting trip. The first destination was New York City.

The bachelors subsequently arrived in the Big Apple, where Ali had already received a makeover from In Style.

"After this makeover I feel amazing. I hope the guys are ready to see me because I'm ready to see them," said Ali. "I really think that a trip around the world will take my relationships with these guys to the next level. There's no better place to start than New York City."

The bachelors then learned that Kasey Kahl, a 27-year-old advertising account executive from Clovis, CA, would be receiving the first one-on-one date.

"He's a lucky guy," opined Jonathan. "I'm jealous... as usual."

Kasey was excited for the one-on-one date and to build on the "unique connection" he felt they had.

"If she doesn't give me a rose, I'll be crushed," he added.

Ali picked up Kasey for the their date, and it was his first time in New York City. The two took a helicopter ride over the city and Kasey gushed about how special it was for him.

"I want someone to protect and guard my heart just like I'm supposed to do for Ali," he said. "This is where any love story begins. You just got to make it happen. This is reality. This is my future wife, and I'm going to go after it just like I go after everything else -- with passion, heart and as much love as I can."

Ali and Kasey then enjoyed a picnic, and he sang her an impromptu song about their recently-completed helicopter ride. That night, the two went to the American Museum of Natural History and explored it by themselves.

"I'm keeping an open mind with Kasey," said Ali in a confessional. "I get that he's being a little cheesy and he's singing. But there's a rose on tonight's date so I'm hoping that tonight can just sort of be real. I'm looking forward to that tonight."

Back at the house, the guys learned Jesse; Jonathan; Roberto Martinez, a 26-year-old insurance agent from Charleston, SC; Craig Robinson, a 27-year-old lawyer from Philadelphia, PA; Kirk DeWindt, a 27-year-old sales consultant from Green Bay, WI; Frank Neuschaefer, a 31-year-old retail manager, from Geneva, IL; and Ty Brown, a 31-year-old in medical sales from Nashville, TN, would be accompanying Ali on the group date.

Ali and Kasey concluded their tour of the museum with some wine and snacks by candlelight, and the rose was in view. The two talked, and Kasey told her she was "everything" he ever wanted be cause she makes him "happy."

"I can honestly say at this point, I choose to be here for you," he told her. "I choose you. I hope that someday you can choose me."

Ali asked how he knew that was the case and he replied "when they want to guard and protect my heart too." Kasey said he couldn't get into any more specifics because there was too much to cover and Ali told him it was like he was "reading a story."

"It's just so perfect," she added.

"It's just my heart," he replied. "Jump in. Stay awhile."

Kasey sang Ali another song and told her she inspires him, however she didn't look too enthusiastic.

"Kasey has over and over told me that he's going to guard my heart. I like that Kasey is being protective of me," she said in a confessional.

"But I'm having trouble believing anything that Kasey says is real because it all just seems like lines to me. Kasey is a great guy, but I don't want to hear the lines. I want to hear the truth... I'm not getting that realness."

Ali told Kasey she worries that what he's telling her is "not real" and added she wants him to be "just Kasey."

"Parts of it doesn't seem genuine to me," she said. "So I can't give you a rose tonight. But I don't want you to leave either."

"I'm trying to put myself out there," he said. "So if it seems to be a little too much, I apologize."

Ali said she wanted to see more of Kasey's fun side, and he said he could do that.

"It hurts and it sucks because I want to fall in love with Ali. I want her to fall in love with me," said Kasey as their date came to a close.

"I want someone to protect and guard my heart. Is that too much to ask? But I'm still here, I'm not going home yet, I hope that she can see what I'm saying is real. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't."

The next day, the seven guys going on the group date arrived in Times Square -- where they received a video message from Ali that they had to find her. The clue was that she was in the "concrete jungle." The guys quickly saw her under The Lion King sign across the street.

The guys arrived at the theater and Ali informed them she was a bit under the weather. The guys then met producer Thomas Schumacher and associate choreographer Marey Griffith, and Thomas told them each of the bachelors would be auditioning for a date with Ali. All of the guys sang to the piano -- except for Roberto, who made his audition about Ali.

"Roberto looked her in the eye and sang to her. That should have been the first thing I should have thought of," opined Kirk. "But he's suave."

Thomas then revealed Roberto was the challenge's winner and would go on the date with Ali -- which would have them actually performing in that night's production of The Lion King.

"I'm a little concerned," said Frank, who was upset Roberto and Ali would be spending so much time together.

Roberto and Ali rehearsed for the show as the other guys on the date sat and gloomily watched from the audience. The actual production then commenced and Ali and Roberto's role went off without a hitch.

"I'm 100% positive there's no one else I could have done this with except Roberto," gushed Ali.

"Going through all these things definitely creates a stronger connection between us," added Roberto. "It's exciting to go through and we're starting to fall in love."

After the show, all the bachelors attended an after-party with Ali -- who the guys noticed still wasn't feeling very well.

"Right now I'm nervous because Ali is not feeling well and she probably wants to call it a little bit early tonight," said Jonathan. "I think if the night ends early, Roberto gets the rose."

Frank took Ali outside for some alone time, as she said in a confessional that she's noticed that he's concerned about their recent lack of time together.

"I want him to feel strong and be strong throughout all this," she added. "I want to reassure Frank that I'm still crazy about him and I want him to keep his head in this."

She expressed her concern to him.

"Anytime that I start questioning what's happening, she brings me right back to that feeling I had the first night," said Frank in a confessional. "I am crazy about this girl, and just the look in her eye was all I needed to feel reassured."

Back at the house, Chris Lambton, a 33-year-old landscaper from Cape Cod, MA, learned he was going on the week's final one-on-one date. The decision was unsurprising since it was his birthday.

All of the guys on the group date scrambled to spend at least some alone time with Ali.

"I need time tonight to talk to Ali. I feel like I've fallen behind a couple of steps compared to the other guys," opined Jonathan. "I think if we get to spend a lot of time together, there's a pretty good chance we fall in love."

Jonathan tried to make his move and steal Ali away from Craig, however he told him "a couple of minutes" -- and the weatherman walked away defeated.

"I took initiative and walked up to her, but the circumstances just didn't play out how I wanted them to," said Jonathan. "I blew it. I didn't do it. I'm kicking myself. It's hard for me to gauge where I stand."

Ali was feeling worse and worse, and Kirk suggested she go upstairs and go to bed. However first she had to award the rose to someone, but she decided against giving it out.

"I just feel like I'm not 100%. I can't focus on you guys the way I need to and should be," she told them. "I hope you guys understand."

Kirk then walked Ali to her room.

"All I can say is I'm really jealous," said Jonathan, who ran through the various scenarios of what could be happening in Ali's room.

Kirk didn't want to overstay his welcome and left after Ali fell asleep.

The next morning, Ali woke up feeling "awful."

"I don't think I've ever felt this sick," she added. "Then I have this date planned for Chris, it's his birthday today. But I'm not up for it."

Chris received a card telling him that the date was off due to her illness -- however she still invited him to join her in her suite.

"I'm actually maybe even a little more excited that I got to hang out with her," he said. "This is a real date; this is a real situation."

Chris arrived at Ali's suite with some flowers and soup, and she was appreciative. The two talked about how Chris decided to leave New York to instead live at home because his mom was sick. He added he still lives at home with his dad.

Back at the house, the bachelors realized that Kasey was missing and wondered where he could be. Kasey said he was "really hurt" by Ali questioning his sincerity and went to a tattoo parlor, where he received a shield protecting a heart inked on his wrist.

"I don't have a tattoo on my body, but I'm going to do it today because everything I said to Ali I meant and I felt," he explained. "I came here to find love and I'm going to continue to pursue Ali."

Ali was appreciative of the time Chris spent with her and told him she was feeling better, so they decided to embark on his birthday date. They traveled to a club, enjoyed some seafood, talked more about his mom -- who passed away a year-and-a-half ago -- and she even gave him a chance to call his dad.

Kasey returned to the bachelor's suite.

"I'm not going to show the guys yet because I don't want Ali knowing I did this," he explained. "I want to tell Ali myself when the time is right. Hopefully she'll see my heart and give me one more chance. I'm wearing my emotions on my heart literally on my sleeve."

Kasey told the guys his wrist was bandaged because he burned himself on the suite's stove and added he was going into the next day with a "positive attitude."

"I'm calling him a fibber," said Justin Rego, a 26-year-old entertainment wrestler from Toronto, Canada, in a confessional. "I am know going on record and saying he's a fibber."

Ali and Chris' date then ended with her giving him a rose and the two receiving a private concert by singer-songwriter Joshua Radin and the Harlem Boys Choir. The two also kissed.

"To be the only one to get a rose this week, I'm like wow," said Chris. "I'm grinning ear-to-ear on that one. I'm very happy."

The next night, the bachelors gathered for the cocktail party prior to the Rose Ceremony.

"Obviously there are guys in the house that are against me," correctly stated Justin after Craig made a joke at his expense.

"I do not want to go home tonight, so it's a little bit scary because I could possibly be on the chopping block. I wish that Kasey could go home tonight because he's blatantly lying to everyone. So I've got to send him home. Whatever I've got to do to get the job done."

Kasey said he was prepared to show Ali his tattoo to prove his sincerity, while Jonathan was simply focused on receiving a rose so he could finally get a one-on-one date.

"I need to stand out in Ali's mind," he said. "I do have some depth. I'm not just a weather dude."

Ali noticed Jonathan was nervous when they met, however he was able to muster up enough courage to sing to her while playing acoustic guitar.

"I definitely felt that spark," he said in a confessional. "Now that I sang the song for Ali, I'd be more surprised if I didn't get a rose."

Justin was still excited about the possibility of revealing Kasey was lying.

"I don't want liars in the house," said Justin, who reportedly had two girlfriends back home when filming for The Bachelorette occurred earlier this year.

"If you're able to lie to a bunch of guys that you spend every single minute with, chance are you'll be able to lie to Ali. I was called out the last Rose Ceremony, I think it's now Kasey's time to be called out."

Justin the confronted Kasey about telling the truth about the burn.

"Do you have a burn mark on your hand?" asked Justin.

"What does that have to do with anything?" replied Kasey, answering a question with a question -- never a good sign.

The two argued and Justin expressed concern that Kasey was lying to Ali. Kasey then called all the guys together and revealed he got the tattoo, which he showed them.

"Getting a tattoo, that doesn't prove anything -- except that you're nuts," said Frank in a confessional.

"Kasey is getting crazier by the minute," added Ty. "If he gets a rose tonight, who knows what he'll tattoo next."

Kasey commented that the other bachelors "loved" his ink job.

"They thought it was very inspiring, they thought it was very courageous," he said. "I can't wait to show Ali."

Kasey then gave Ali her favorite candy as a get-well gift.

"He just did things that were cute and caring and not over the top, and I'm so glad I had a chance to talk to him," she said in a confessional.

Just as he was about to reveal the tattoo, Frank entered and interrupted.

"It killed my moment," said Kasey. "I wanted to show Ali my tattoo but I couldn't. It killed me because I could see myself falling for her even harder."

The Bachelorette's fourth sixth-season Rose Ceremony then commenced.

In addition to Chris L., Ali gave roses to Kirk, Frank, Craig, Chris Nordhorn, Roberto, Justin, Ty and Kasey.

"I'm frustrated, I'm not going to lie," said Jesse after his ouster.

"She's more of a city girl, that's where she wants to be. I want some acreage and cows and all that good stuff. I think maybe that possibly is something that kind of scared her away from me. Ali's awesome and anyone would be lucky to have her. But I cannot wait to see my dogs."

Ali also revealed to her nine remaining suitors that their next destination was Iceland.

The Bachelorette's next sixth-season episode will air Monday, June 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
