The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson has dished about an "extremely scary" moment during one of her hometown dates with either Aaron Bryant, Dotun Olubeko, Joey Graziadei, or Xavier Bonner.

"For the most part, hometowns do go pretty smoothly. But, you know, it's not truly a hometown episode without some families asking hard-hitting questions," Charity teased during the July 27 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast co-hosted by Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

Charity went on to reveal that the heart-stopping incident occurred during Joey's hometown date.

"So we do see in the preview with Joey's family, his Uncle Joe questions me, 'Do [you] feel like you're getting the whole Joey?' [He asked] if I was seeing the whole Joey," Charity recalled.

"And for me, that was extremely scary to hear or to have that brought up to me."

Charity said she truly thought she was "getting the whole Joey" every time they hung out together.

"And so, yeah, that definitely left me feeling a little uneasy, I'm not going to lie," The Bachelorette star shared.

"And so that could potentially be a problem for us, later down the road."

Joe joked about how, if he had been in Joey's shoes during that hometown date, he would've told his uncle to "go f-ck yourself" with that kind of question. (Joey later clarified he meant no offense to Uncle Joe with the joke).

"Right! And I'm sure it left [Joey] feeling a certain type of way," Charity said. "He probably was like, 'That's not a question that should be brought up.'"

But The Bachelorette star assured the podcast's co-hosts that she was "not mad" at Uncle Joe for his candidness.

"Obviously I appreciate the challenging questions because it allows me -- not that I'm in La-La Land -- but it kind of allows me to shift gears a little bit and be like, 'Alright, let's be a realist as much as possible here,'" Charity acknowledged.

The 27-year-old family and child therapist also revealed how she had "a lot of conversations" with Xavier's family "about the readiness of the guys" to potentially propose marriage in just a few short weeks.

Charity said she asked different loved ones whether each guy was ready to commit and possibly get engaged at the end of the process.

"I wanted to see what their families had to say about that, which might be a different take on what some of the guys have expressed to me, so it's very interesting."

The Bachelorette star concluded, "We'll see how next week plays out, but it will be a good one!"

Charity admitted earlier this month on Good Morning America that she had never braced herself for the possibility of falling in love with more than one man on The Bachelorette -- and she did just that.

"I will be honest, I don't think I did [brace myself]. I don't think I prepared myself for that possibility because, I mean, in the real world, you don't have the opportunity to date multiple people at the same time and then form these connections," Charity explained.

"So for me, [falling in love with multiple people] definitely came as a shock. I was like, 'How do I help myself with this and process what I'm feeling?'"

Charity said journaling helped her self-reflect and navigate complex emotions as her journey to find The One was approaching its end.

And Charity apparently followed her heart and it didn't lead her astray.

"I will say that [my gut and intuition] were spot on this season, like, spot on!" the 27-year-old child and family therapist revealed during a recent appearance on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast.

"This season has truly taught me a lot more about trusting my intuition, because it wasn't wrong."

Still though, Charity described her Fantasy Suites as "rocky" and her finale as extremely "emotional." She warned viewers earlier this summer to "put your seatbelts on" for this wild ride.
