When Charity and Dotun appeared on The Golden Wedding special earlier this month, they revealed they will be tying the knot in Fall 2025.
Charity recently conducted a Q&A session via Instagram Stories, and one fan asked why she's waiting so long to be a bride instead of getting married later this year.
"This question: I do indeed have time today to answer this one. Planning. Simple as that," Charity told her followers, according to BachelorNation.com.
"I think a lot of y'all forget or may not know what all has to go into wedding planning, and for me, I personally do not want to plan a wedding in a rush of 5 months. I choose peace and not stress (which I will experience regardless cause it's wedding planning)."
Charity elaborated on how she'd like to slow down for a little bit after appearing on three reality TV shows in a row -- from Zach Shallcross' The Bachelor season in early 2023 to Dancing with the Stars late last year.
"I went from one TV show to another and Dotun and I are just now settling into normalcy and getting our bearings, which we are loving every second of it," Charity shared.
"This is a normal time frame. I want to enjoy and live out our engagement and it'll be here before you know it, as we have already started planning."
Charity noted that while she loves "the excitement everyone has," she also wants fans to "respect" the couple's decision given it's "most conducive for" their lives.
"We are planning two ceremonies. So please, bare with us," Charity said, hinting that in addition to a wedding in the United States, they'll likely have a second ceremony in Nigeria.

Another Instagram user asked how the couple's transition, moving from California to New York, has been.
"Absolutely splendid," Charity responded.
"It's the city of dreams, culture, and opportunities. NYC has always been somewhere I wanted to live at for a brief time and now I am doing that with my best friend. It's great already having familiar faces here."
Charity admitted, however, that moving was "a lot" and it's "taking a while" for them to get their new apartment into shape.
"It's taking a while to get settled and get our apartment exactly how we like with all the decor details... but it's coming along and we will share once done. It's very cold, but I'm doing great adjusting to it," Charity said.
Charity also touched upon her newfound fame and the whirlwind she's been in ever since appearing on The Bachelor's 27th season.
"I just be living. It's something I don't think I will ever get used to, but I will say now gaining normalcy back has been nice," Charity explained.
"It helps that I do have a strong sense of self, and I am able to keep myself grounded as needed. I'm extremely grateful to be in the position I am and to have experienced everything that came and continues to come my way."

Back in December, Charity teased in a Q&A session that she and Dotun plan to take advantage of their trip to Greece, which The Bachelor franchise had gifted them at the end of her season last summer.
"And Dotun and I are going to Greece finally! We listened to Papa Jesse to save it for post-show and this could not be more perfect timing!" Charity said, referring to Jesse Palmer.
Dotun previously shared he's Charity's biggest fan, and he conducted his own Q&A session via Instagram Stories in December in which he revealed his favorite thing about being with his fiancee.
"The way this woman loves is something special," he gushed. "She accepts me for me and loves the parts of me that even I don't like myself. And that's priceless in this life."
Dotun also boasted about how Charity brings him "so much happiness" but they make sure they don't lose sight of themselves in the relationship.
"It's tempting to attach my happiness to this relationship, but I try to always remember we are individuals first. And we both respect each other's autonomy, which helps us grow as individuals then subsequently as partners," Dotun shared.
Charity and Dotun also revealed in November that they're in therapy together and are doing everything it takes to stay strong and healthy as a couple.
"[Dotun] is well onboard [with our sessions]. I don't want to toot my own horn, but they, like, our therapist is personally, like, really proud of us because we don't really have, like, problems," Charity explained to Life & Style at the time.
"It's just, like, we're doing things to be proactive, to, like, stay ahead of, like, I guess something going wrong in the in the future."
