The Bachelorette couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers can finally be a happily-engaged couple in public now.

The show's twelfth-season finale aired Monday night and concluded with Jordan, a 27-year-old former pro quarterback, getting down on one knee and proposing to JoJo, a 25-year-old real estate developer, after a long journey of highs and lows, ups and downs.

The couple conquered trust issues while filming the show only to then battle intense criticism and unflattering tabloid reports once the season premiered on TV. Jordan was labeled a fraud and cheater, and JoJo was bashed for falling in love with men who had selfish intentions.

But now, JoJo and Jordan are in love, and they don't feel the need to prove that to anybody. Their next step is moving Jordan to the Bachelorette's hometown of Dallas, TX. On Tuesday, Reality TV World talked to JoJo about her relationship as Jordan listened in. Below is what she had to say.

Reality TV World: Was learning about Jordan receiving your parents' permission to propose in that letter he gave you a game-changer? In other words, would you still have accepted the proposal from him if he never told you about having asked for your dad's blessing?

JoJo Fletcher: I mean, that was something that he knew how it was so important to me. I never envisioned getting engaged without having my father or family's blessing.

So I think when I got that letter and when I had heard that he'd spoken to my dad and my mom, I was so relieved and so much more excited. But I also know that Jordan probably never would have proposed unless he had done that. So just by knowing him, I knew that's something he would do.

Reality TV World: You told runner-up Robby Hayes on After the Final Rose you were missing the best-friends element of your relationship because your personalities weren't very compatible. Would you mind elaborating on that a little bit?

JoJo Fletcher: Yes. And maybe I wasn't as clear [as I had hoped]. I mean, Robby and I got along great. We had an amazing relationship. And I think that's why, you know, our relationship lasted as long as it did.

But it was just in the final days where I started to realize that that laughter and that playfulness and that fun that I've always wanted in a relationship wasn't as strong as what I have with Jordan. And so that was something that I talked to him about on those last days. I asked him what he thought of it.

And when it came down to it, Robby is amazing. He's going to make an unbelievable husband and partner for somebody. I just knew that it wasn't the best match for me, and I think that's ultimately what it came down to.

Reality TV World: Just out of curiosity, you didn't throw out Robby's name on After the Final Rose when Chris Harrison asked whom you'd like to be the next Bachelor. Is there any reason for that?

JoJo Fletcher: No reason at all except for I'm just getting overwhelming responses to [Luke Pell] and [Chase McNary] just from how, you know, fans are reacting. So I think those are the frontrunners as of right now.

But Robby would be great too. I think everyone is so deserving of love. I had such a great group of men, especially my top guys. They, I mean, I have nothing bad to say about any of them!
