The Bachelorette star Katie Thurston admits she "wasn't interested" in Blake Moynes when he first reached out to her following her The Bachelor stint on Matt James' season earlier this year.

Blake said he wanted to compliment Katie on her bold entrance and praise her for her positive attitude and confidence, but he apparently said nothing about liking her or wanting to date her.
During a Wednesday appearance on The Viall Files podcast hosted by Season 21 The Bachelor star Nick Viall, Katie revealed Blake had actually sent her a video of himself -- with no actual written text!
"[The videos] disappear so then there's no evidence. The video is like, 'Hey, I just want to say you did really good on Matt's season. Good luck, you were great,'" Katie recalled.
Katie said she "wasn't surprised" Blake had sent her a video after her The Bachelor stint because he "wasn't the first" guy to reach out.
"So no offense to Blake, but he was one of a bunch of them who had done that to me or other girls. So I was like, 'Whatever!' They were just being polite and kind of testing the water," Katie explained.
"They wait for you to get kicked off," she added, "and are like, 'Is she with [the Bachelor] or not?'"
Katie flat out confessed on the podcast, "No offense, I was not interested" in Blake at the time.
Katie therefore just sent back a polite "thanks" video to Blake, which was a little "awkward," according to the Bachelorette, since the pair were complete strangers at that point.
"I will say he wasn't very obvious with his intentions, and we brought that up when we talked. I was like, 'I didn't even know you were interested in me,'" Katie shared.
"He just very casually tested the waters but didn't try too hard. And I wasn't interested."

Katie also confirmed she and Blake "never FaceTimed" after their initial DM exchange on Instagram, nor did they develop any time of friendship or connection outside of the show.
"I didn't take him seriously," Katie told Nick, who hosted a group date on Katie's The Bachelorette season.
"[I was] like, 'Yeah, he's doing the same thing everyone else is doing, whatever.' And that was it... It takes, for me, meeting someone in person and knowing there's an actual connection when you feel it."
On Monday night's episode of The Bachelorette, Blake told Katie that he completely understood her concerns in that she'd be his third Bachelorette love interest and he wished they could have met under different circumstances.
"This is the last place I want to do this. The risk of me looking like a complete idiot is high, but the reward is so much greater than that risk. You are beautiful, but everything else you bring to the table, you check boxes that no one else has," Blake explained.
"It just comes down to the fact that I would 'what if?' and regret forever if I didn't do this."
Katie admitted there could "maybe" be something between them, suggesting she already felt chemistry with Blake, but she feared letting her other bachelors down.

Katie ultimately decided to allow him to join her cast and compete for her heart.
Katie knocked on Blake's hotel-room door in the middle of the night after the season's third Rose Ceremony to share the good news, and Blake appeared ecstatic although he was tired, in his boxers, and subsequently got locked out of his room.
Katie revealed that once she became interested in Blake, she "actually went back" and looked at her pre-show messages with the wildlife manager again.
"I was like, 'What did we talk about?'... I have all the DMs. It's very brief," she noted.
