The Bachelorette star Katie Thurston has revealed her biggest fear going into the show and how she surprised herself while filming Season 17.

During a Monday appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan co-hosted by Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, Katie briefly discussed her journey to find love via videochat ahead of the series' premiere.
"What were you most concerned about? What was your biggest fear going into this whole process?" Ryan asked the 30-year-old bank marketing manager from Lynnwood, WA.
"I was scared there wasn't going to be somebody I would be interested in," Katie admitted.
Katie met 30 bachelors, including one "mystery-box contestant," on Night 1 of the season, and The Bachelorette has recently teased in promos that Season 16 contestant Blake Moynes also returned early into the process and attempted to compete for Katie's heart.
When looking back on her group of guys as a whole, Katie apparently realizes there was nothing to worry about.
Katie confirmed, in fact, she had a "great" and "amazing" cast of men and actually developed strong feelings for multiple bachelors.
A source told Life & Style earlier this month that Katie's season was "an emotional roller coaster" and Katie "kept changing how she felt and her thoughts were all over the place."
Katie was eliminated from Matt James' The Bachelor season before hometown dates, but she made a lasting impression on Matt and viewers with her raunchy humor and attempt to put a stop to girl-on-girl bullying at the resort in Pennsylvania.

Katie, who brought her vibrator with her to meet Matt on Night 1, has been described as "sex positive" by the public.

Ryan therefore asked Katie how she would respond to a virgin, or a "sex-negative" man, on her season and whether that would be a dealbreaker for her.
"I will say I surprised myself this season, so I encourage you guys to tune in and find out how I handle that!" Katie teased.
Katie also shared how viewers will see her stand up for herself whenever necessary as well as "women supporting women" on The Bachelorette's upcoming seventeenth season.
In addition, Katie shared a little fun fact about herself during her Live with Kelly and Ryan interview.
"In high school, I did mail a letter to Robert Pattinson to his fan mailbox," Katie disclosed when Ryan and Kelly were asking the Bachelorette to reveal her celebrity crush.
"Edward Cullen!... It was a long time ago! He never wrote back."

Katie's entire The Bachelorette season was taped at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico with quarantine and COVID-19 safety measures in place, according to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone.
Filming reportedly ended unexpectedly early, about a week "ahead of schedule," on April 24.
"Katie was in control and made sure the men she wanted were there and the men she wasn't interested in, she sent packing," an insider revealed to Us Weekly in late April.
After taping The Bachelorette, Katie returned to Instagram on April 28 and hinted at how she had started "a healthy relationship."
"Can't start a healthy relationship without being healthy," Katie captioned a video of herself getting the coronavirus vaccine.
