The Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams has revealed her take on premarital sex has changed now that she's divorced.

Tayshia shared during a recent episode of her Click Bait podcast that she saved herself for marriage before exchanging vows with her college sweetheart, Josh Bourelle, after dating him for four years in February 2016.

"I'm more of a conservative person," Tayshia acknowledged on Thursday's episode.
"I waited until marriage, so that being said, I now have a different [outlook] on that. I feel like sex before marriage is important because that's such an intimate thing with your partner."

"I think it's something you have to explore, to be honest," she added.
Tayshia recently revealed she and Josh separated after two years of marriage in August 2017, and then Josh filed for divorce in October 2017, according to Us Weekly.
The couple's divorce was finalized in April 2018 before she began filming Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor in September of that year.
But Tayshia insisted on her podcast it's crucial to establish a romantic and emotional connection with one's partner before exploring the physical side of a relationship.
"I'm not saying, 'Go have a one night stand every single day,'" Tayshia confirmed, "but I'm just saying it shouldn't be the foundation of your relationship."

Tayshia elaborated of her views on intimacy, "I think it should definitely be a thing that you can connect on because I think it's very, very special, but I don't know, I have a different take on that stuff."

Tayshia told Colton on his The Bachelor season she's a Christian and thought her first marriage was going to be it for her.
"You expect that from your partner as well," Tayshia reportedly told Colton at the time.
"But you can't make someone want to be married, you know? It's the toughest thing I've gone through, and I think that's what's made me so strong and fearless."

After her split from Josh, Tayshia said she's "always dated with intention."
"I married my first boyfriend for Christ sake, like, I don't really have many past hookups," Tayshia explained on Click Bait.
"I'm not a girl that does that kind of thing, but I don't know, I just find intimacy is very, very sacred."
Tayshia opened up to The Bachelorette bachelor Brendan Morais about her divorce in a November episode after Brendan shared how he divorced his high school sweetheart and former wife.
Tayshia admitted she had lost herself in her marriage to Josh.

"My identity was him, but unfortunately there was infidelity and other issues, not on my part. And then we got divorced and I, too, felt like I failed. I, too, felt embarrassed and ashamed," Tayshia told Brendan.

Tayshia then informed the cameras going through a divorce was "a big deal" at the time.
"I thought I was dying when I was going through it," Tayshia admitted in the episode.
On the October 22 episode of her Click Bait podcast, Tayshia said she takes marriage very seriously and had done everything possible to save her marriage to Josh.
"When things were getting really bad, we were like, 'Okay, we need to go see a counselor.' Actually, that was my doing, because I knew I needed to do absolutely everything in order to know that was the end of the road, because in my mind, divorce isn't a thing," Tayshia told Hannah Sluss and Joe Amabile at the time.
"Marriage is forever. So I kicked and screamed and made sure we did marriage counseling, and at that point, you kind of walk through some things and you try as hard as you can, but you can't force someone to love you."
Tayshia apparently felt she was putting all of her time and energy into fixing her marriage without much effort back from Josh.
"So you've got to go your own separate way," Tayshia concluded.
But Tayshia may have found her happily-ever-after on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season, although she reportedly told her cast of bachelors she probably wouldn't be ready to get engaged by the finale.
Tayshia told Entertainment Tonight last month that she had fallen in love with multiple men while filming the show and ended up saying "I love you" multiple times to one or more guys.

Tayshia is nearing the part of her journey where she will be introduced to four men's families.
