Amy said that she and Marty had discussed children during their courtship -- which began when she and a then already-married Marty competed on the third season of The Biggest Loser that aired on NBC in 2007 -- and had decided to pursue a family together when the time was right.
"After we got married, at a certain point, we let nature take its course," Amy told People. "We are very excited!"
Amy added that she had been prepped for her upcoming duties as a mother by Marty over the holidays.
"One of the most exciting things was Marty's Christmas present for me," she told People. "It was a box of everything maternity and right on top was a onesie that says 'I Love Mommy,' and I immediately cried when I saw it!"
Marty proposed to Amy, who was known as Amy Hildreth during her time on the NBC reality weight loss show, during NBC's broadcast of a The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now? reunion weigh-in special that aired in 2007.
They were married in a small Charleston, SC ceremony in March.
Amy said that she was going to be very cautious about her diet and exercise routines during her pregnancy to ensure that she didn't put on any weight, but added that she had been successful so far.
"So many friends have had to battle weight gain during pregnancy," Amy told People. "They all have told me to watch out, it happens so quickly, and I'm like, 'I know!' I am cautious. I haven't gained any weight yet. I feel like the luckiest pregnant girl ever."
Hildreth and Wolff's won't be the first The Biggest Loser baby. Last June, The Biggest Loser second-season champ Matt Hoover and fellow contestant Suzy Preston -- who began dating shortly after leaving the ranch in 2005 and married in Jamaica on September 2006 -- welcomed their first child together.
