The Biggest Loser: Couples' contestants Jay Jacobs and Hannah Curlee avoided elimination after they fell below the yellow weigh-in line but were saved from a game-playing twist which revealed a non-elimination weigh-in during Tuesday night's broadcast of the NBC reality weight-loss competition.

Jay and Hannah survived the weigh-in after Project Runway star Tim Gunn made an appearance on The Biggest Loser: Couples portraying a "fairy godfather," who presented the five remaining contestants with three gifts throughout the competition's eighteenth episode. The third gift was to erase the yellow line so no one would be sent home that week.

"Oh my God! I get another chance!" Jay said in shock upon hearing Tim's good news.

"The yellow line just disappeared! The yellow line disappeared!" Hannah exclaimed.

The Biggest Loser's eighteenth eleventh-season broadcast began following the elimination of Kaylee Kinikini, a 20-year-old student from Shelley, ID, after she finished with the lowest weight-loss percentage at the seventeenth week's weigh-in and was subsequently voted off by the rest of the season's contestants, and the quitting of Rulon Gardner, a 39-year-old gym owner and motivational speaker from Logan, UT for personal reasons.

The next day, Tim arrived at The Biggest Loser ranch in a horse-drawn carriage. He announced it was going to be "Makeover Week" and revealed there would be three surprises -- the first of which would be the makeovers themselves.

Tim then brought Jay; Hannah; Olivia Ward, a 35-year-old opera singer and plastic surgery office manager from New York, NY; Austin Andrews, a 21-year-old radio board operator from Pasadena, CA; and Irene Alvarado, a 26-year-old student from Portland, OR to a room full of gowns and tuxedos for the contestants to choose amongst.

Olivia admitted she finally felt beautiful and shed some tears, which seemed to be a breakthrough moment in her life.

Afterward, the final five contestants arrived at Ken Paves Salon to receive their makeovers.

That night, after everyone got done up and was physically transformed, Hannah was the first contestant to arrive at a castle in a horse-drawn carriage and greet Tim. Tim then revealed the second gift would be the chance for the remaining contestants to see one of their beloved family members. Hannah walked a red carpet and discovered her father was waiting for her.

Olivia was the next to arrive and meet Tim at the castle, subsequently finding her husband -- who lost 99 pounds himself at home -- was ready to see her new look. Following Olivia, Austin met his mom and Jay saw his son Matthew.

Irene was thrilled to see her mother Ana Alvarado, a 50-year-old USPS letter carrier from Portland, OR, who was the first The Biggest Loser: Couples contestant eliminated from the competition after she and Irene posted the lowest weight-loss percentage at the Week 1 weigh-in. Ana had promised Irene she would continue to lose weight at home to honor their initial goal of losing weight together, and it was apparent she had.

That night, the contestants met with The Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney and learned they would be celebrating their new styles, bodies and the fact they had been reunited with loved ones. Alison then mentioned they needed music to get the celebration started and revealed the band OneRepublic would be performing a live private concert for them.

The next day, the contestants met with Alison again, who explained they would be competing in the week's challenge. Jay, Hannah, Olivia, Austin, and Irene then learned the two winners of the task would each take home a brand-new Mazda vehicle.

Alison told them in order to win the cars, they would be required to stand in front of 50 Mazda-shaped sandcastles. Buried within each sandcastle was a box, and every box contained one key. The contestants had to dig for each key and then take one key at a time, race down the pier a quarter of a mile, and discover whether the key happened to fit one of the two cars waiting for them.

The first two contestants to start the engine of a car would win it, and Irene and Olivia ended up joyfully winning the challenge and the vehicles.

Afterward, the contestants then realized the fairytale was over and more work had to be done, as they participated in their last chance workouts in the gym with veteran trainers Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels and new trainers Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova.

That night, The Biggest Loser: Couples' seventeenth elimination weigh-in commenced. Alison explained that the two individuals with the lowest weight-loss percentages would fall below the yellow line, and only three contestants would be guaranteed to be above it.

Hannah was the first person to step on the scale. Hannah dropped from 156 to 154 pounds, losing two pounds and posting a 1.28% weight-loss percentage.

Jay started off the week weighing 258 pounds and fell to 255, after he lost three pounds and posted a 1.16% weight-loss percentage.

Austin lost a total of seven pounds and posted a 1.60% weight-loss percentage after he dropped from 243 to 236 pounds. His goal for that week was to lose a weight-loss percentage of 1.60% and he did just that.

Irene then stepped on the scale. She shed two pounds after falling from 154 to 152 pounds. She posted a 1.30% weight-loss percentage.

Olivia was the last contestant to weigh-in and she lost four pounds. She dropped from 162 pounds to 158 pounds, but her weight-loss percentage was not disclosed.

As a result of the weigh-in, Hannah and Jay fell below the yellow line and were convinced one of them would be going home and be voted off by the rest of the season's remaining contestants.

However, Tim appeared again and revealed the contestants would be getting their third surprise -- a fairytale ending after all.

Tim explained the yellow line would no longer exist and therefore, no one would be going home.

Olivia, proud of her new body, said she could now play the "beautiful girl" character she has always dreamed of being in one of the operas she had performed in.

She then closed out the show by singing one of the character's songs for everyone at the weigh-in.
