The Biggest Loser: Glory Days eliminated one contestant for good and sent another to the show's new Comeback Canyon during Thursday night's NBC broadcast of the reality weight-loss competition's sixteenth-season.

Chandra Maple, a 26-year-old optometric technician and former high school softball and basketball standout from Dodge City, KS, was ousted from the competition for good after losing the weigh-in at Comeback Canyon against fellow contestant Mike Murburg, a 58-year-old attorney and former Princeton University football player and wrestler from Darby, FL.

"The Chandra that's leaving is a person I never knew existed. It's a person who has the inner-strength to compete and the person who isn't afraid of failing," Chandra said following her ouster.

At Comeback Canyon, veteran trainer Bob Harper works with two contestants, who get the boot from the ranch, every week. At the end of each week, there's a separate weigh-in after which the person with the highest percentage of weight-loss gets to stay at the canyon for another week and the losing contestant must go home for good.

Eventually, Bob will take only one contestant back to the ranch so they can rejoin the original competition and resume competing for the $250,000 grand prize.

Chandra dropped from 317 to 313 pounds, losing four pounds and posting a 1.26% percentage of weight-loss. Mike fell from 333 to 326 pounds, shedding seven pounds and posting a 2.10% weight-loss percentage.

Later in the episode, Matthew Miller, a 31-year-old business entrepreneur and former high school football standout from Grove, OK, got automatically eliminated from the White Team led by newbie trainer Jennifer Widerstrom after he fell below the red line at the Week 5 weigh-in by posting the lowest weight-loss percentage on his team. Matt now joins Mike at Comeback Canyon and will train with Bob.

During last night's The Biggest Loser broadcast, host Alison Sweeney explained the challenge. Each team's members were required to cross a canyon while suspended nearly 100 feet in the air, which is about the height of a 10-story building. They had to pull themselves across one at a time, and the first team to have all its players on the other side of the canyon would win.

The winning team, which ended up being the White Team -- who remain undefeated in challenges -- were then afforded the opportunity to choose one contestant on an opposing team whose weight would not count on the scale at the upcoming weigh-in. Alison called it "sidelining" someone in a season full of former athletes.

Once the weigh-in commenced, the White Team opted to sideline Damien Woody, a 36-year-old ESPN analyst and two-time Super Bowl champion from Mendham, NJ. His weight, therefore, did not count towards the Blue Team's total but he could still face elimination. Ironically, last week, Damien's weight counted on behalf of the whole team, as his weight-loss percentage was the only one that mattered.

The Red Team led by veteran trainer Dolvett Quince stepped on the scale first one by one.

Scott Mitchell, a 46-year-old bill collector and 12-year NFL veteran quarterback from Mapleton, UT, lost 13 pounds after falling from 315 to 302 pounds.

Blake Benge, an 18-year-old student and former high school soccer and track standout from San Clemente, CA, fell from 216 to 209 pounds, losing seven pounds.

Rob Guiry, a 26-year-old head rugby coach at Western New England University and former rugby player from Springfield, MA, fell from 421 to 416 pounds. He therefore lost five pounds.

The Red Team lost a total of 32 pounds and posted a combined 2.60% weight-loss percentage.

Newbie trainer Jessie Pavelka's Blue Team weighed-in next. They needed to lose more than 19 pounds as a group to defeat the Red Team.

Damien went first since his weight didn't count. Although the White Team was hoping he'd post a huge number, he lost six pounds, dropping from 344 to 338 pounds.

Howard "Woody" Carter, a 46-year-old car salesman and former Arena League football player from Las Vegas, NV, dropped from 361 to 354 pounds, losing seven pounds.

Rondalee Beardslee, a 28-year-old nursing student and former high school basketball, football and softball player from New Lothrop, MI, stepped on the scale next and learned she had dropped from 250 to 242 pounds, losing eight pounds.

Toma Dobrosavljevic, a 33-year-old senior project manager and former high school soccer, football, volleyball and baseball player from Addison, IL, lost nine pounds after falling from 291 to 282 pounds.

Matthew Miller, a 31-year-old business entrepreneur and former high school football standout from Grove, OK, fell from 336 to 333 pounds. He shed three pounds.

The White Team posted a combined weight-loss percentage of 2.08% after losing 38 pounds total. The White Team lost the weigh-in and Matthew fell below the red line. Matt was ousted without any deliberation from his teammates and sent to Comeback Canyon.

The Biggest Loser's episode concluded with an update on Chandra's weight-loss progress. She began the competition at 341 pounds and dropped to 287 pounds, losing a total of 54 pounds. Chandra surprised her grandfather with her success and returned to coaching high school basketball.
