The CW announced that new installments of both America's Next Top Model and Beauty and the Geek will air as part of the network's Fall 2007 primetime programming schedule.

According to Top Model creator Tyra Banks, Top Model's ninth season will be different than the show's earlier editions. "Season 9 is coming up in the fall and it's a whole rebirth of Top Model that I can't talk about right now," Banks told Extra on Wednesday's broadcast of the syndicated entertainment news program.
Since Top Model and Beauty and the Geek will be the most popular returning shows on The CW's Fall 2007 schedule, both will be used as 8PM ET/PT lead-ins that will support the launch of new dramas that will air at 9PM ET/PT. Top Model 9 will serve as a lead-in for Gossip Girl, a new drama based on the best-selling young-adult book series of the same name. Gossip Girl focuses on the "struggle for social supremacy" among teens attending an upscale Manhattan prep school.
The CW's decision to air Beauty and the Geek's fourth edition as part of its Fall 2007 schedule will mark the first time that that the reality series -- previously broadcast as summer or midseason programming -- will air during the fall television season. However, given the show's most recent third season was broadcast in Top Model's time period during the hiatus between Top Model's Fall 2006 seventh edition and Spring 2007 eighth edition, Beauty and the Geek's promotion to fall programming means that the show will move to a new time period.
Instead of airing in the same Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT time period that this winter's Beauty and the Geek 3 aired in, Beauty and the Geek's fourth edition air on Tuesdays at 8PM ET/PT. Reaper, a new drama that will tell the story of a slacker who learns his parents accidentally sold his soul to the devil before he was born, will follow at 9PM ET/PT.
In addition to Top Model and Beauty and the Geek's fall returns, The CW also announced that Farmer Wants a Wife, a new Outback Jack-like reality dating series that will see if women who live the city-life can find love down on the farm; Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants, a new reality series that will require mothers and daughters to work together to win a beauty pageant, and a second season of Pussycat Dolls Present will all air as part of the network's 2007-2008 midseason programming.
Top Model is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with Bankable Productions, and is executive produced by Banks, Ken Mok and Daniel Soiseth. Beauty and the Geek is produced by Katalyst and 3 Ball Productions with Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg, Nick Santora, J.D. Roth and Todd A. Nelson serving as executive producers.
