The CW has announced Stylista, a new reality competition series for aspiring fashion magazine editors, will premiere Wednesday, October 29 at 9PM ET/PT.

Billed as "The Devil Wears Prada reinvented as a reality series," Stylista will begin with 11 fashion enthusiasts.  Each week they'll compete in two different challenges -- an assistant task and a fashion editorial assignment.

Elle fashion news director Anne Slowey -- who has previously appeared on Project Runway as a guest judge -- and the magazine's creative director Joe Zee will serve as Stylista mentors, with Slowey responsible for eliminating a contestant each week.

Stylista's grad-prize winner will receive a paid, year-long Elle editorial position, a paid lease on a Manhattan apartment for a year, and a $100,000 clothing allowance at H&M.

Stylista is a collaboration by Project Runway developer Eli Holzman and executive producers Jane Cha and Desiree Gruber and America's Next Top Model creator Tyra Banks and executive producer Ken Mok.

The CW ordered the eight-episode series earlier this year and it is produced 10 by 10 Entertainment, Inc. and Bankable Incorporated in association with Magic Molehill Productions, Inc. and Warner Horizon Television Inc., with Banks, Mok, Holzman, Gruber and Cha all serving as executive producers.

In addition to Stylista, The CW announced Top Model's eleventh season will premiere with a special two-hour episode on Wednesday, September 3 at 8PM ET/PT.  Top Model eleventh-season episodes will serve as the lead in for Stylista beginning October 29.

The CW also announced 13 - Fear is Real, a new reality competition series/horror movie hybrid that the network ordered in March and initially scheduled to debut this summer, will now premiere this fall.  Its debut date will be announced at a later time.

Noticeably absent from The CW's Fall 2008 primetime programming lineup is a new installment of Beauty and the Geek, which the network decided to place on hiatus after the show's fifth season concluded its broadcast run this past spring.
