The network ordered eight half-hour episodes of the series, which is being executive produced by Andrew Glassman, according to The Reporter.
Mortimer married Robert Livingston (Topper) Mortimer -- the great-grandson of Standard Oil president Henry Morgan Tilford -- in 2002.
They have since separated and have reportedly been attracting a lot of attention from New York City gossip columns, with Mortimer being described as "New York's pre-eminent young socialite," according to The Reporter.
Mortimer had previously suspected of filming a reality series in April when she arrived at a party with five cameras in town, according to The Reporter.
In addition to a guest appearance on a Gossip Girl second-season episode, Mortimer previously served as a guest judge on Bravo's The Fashion Show reality competition this summer.
Earlier this week, The CW ordered Fly Girls -- another new docu-reality series that will follow five Virgin America airlines flight attendants. The eight-episode series is currently slated to air as midseason programming.
