The Family Chantel finale featured Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno's families actually getting along before Chantel lost control and fought with Nicole's friend Coraima over the past.

The Family Chantel broadcast began with Chantel and her family visiting Pedro's grandmother in the Campo after his mother, Lidia, had extended an invitation.

Pedro said Lidia's invitation showed she wanted to improve relations, and Chantel's family deciding to go also proved they were trying to better things.

The last time Chantel's parents, Karen and Thomas, visited Pedro's grandmother, the night was apparently a disaster because they refused to even exit their van since wild dogs were around.

Karen and Thomas, however, agreed to make the trip again under their own conditions -- including renting their own van for the five-hour drive in case they wanted to leave the gathering early -- insisting they would not be under anyone else's control.

Lidia hoped Chantel's family would respect her own family.

During the drive, River mentioned how he hated seeing both of his sisters being "mistreated" and "lied to." River wasn't sure Winter's boyfriend Jah ever planned to tell her about his secret son.

Winter had to decide whether she could be happy in the relationship with Jah or happier single, but she didn't want to talk about it.

Pedro hadn't seen his grandmother in two years, but Chantel's family was shocked Pedro had been more focused on "slinging girls around" rather than visiting his family during his last trip home.

Chantel didn't want to talk about Pedro's wild night out in the Dominican Republic either, but she told her family Pedro would confront the girl, Coraima, and tell her that he's married. Chantel insisted Pedro would never see Coraima again.

"Pedro needs to make clear to a ho that she doesn't have any chance with him and that I'm his wife... He promised me that he would stand up to her and say he's not going to see her anymore, and she's going to disappear," Chantel told Karen.

Pedro had yet to tell Chantel that he needed her help in order to bring Lidia and his sister Nicole over to the United States. He had been telling his family to be polite and treat Chantel and her family with respect so they would want to assist in bringing them over to America.

Lidia and Nicole gritted their teeth over the idea of having to treat Chantel's family like they're special, but they obliged.

Pedro was tired of all the fighting and noted his marriage would be over if the two families couldn't get along.

Meanwhile, Karen and Thomas said they had a big breakfast and were going to refuse eating any of the food at the gathering, so Chantel feared her relatives were going to be rude and start a fight.

But Karen yelled about how she had nothing to lose and nothing to fear and would not eat something she had no desire to eat. Karen planned to do things her way and had no problem with that.

When Chantel's family showed up, Karen gave Pedro's grandmother -- who was battling Alzheimer's -- a table cloth and said it's pretty just like her. Pedro said it was a moment of pride for him that Chantel's mother was so sweet.

Pedro said it was hard to accept that his grandmother was starting to forget things.

It then became time to eat a stew filled with beef, pork and chicken feet, but Karen said she wasn't hungry and didn't want to eat. Pedro said six hours had passed and so no one was going to believe they're still full.

Pedro told Chantel's family it would be very rude not to eat the food his grandmother had prepared for them, and so Karen agreed to eat some rice with a little broth on it. None of Chantel's relatives wanted to eat chicken feet, which were in the stew.

Chantel thought her family members were being good sports because they did at least participate in the meal.

Pedro wanted to show that his family is comprised of good, humble people since Chantel's parents seemed to believe his mother and sister used and took advantage of people.

Everyone walked around and checked out the farm grounds together, and Chantel said it was clear the group was progressing in how they treated each other. Pedro also felt for the first time like his entire family was together, including Chantel's half.

Karen was grateful to see how Pedro grew up and said she had a wonderful day, but they declined sleeping over at the Campo. River even said he felt welcomed and Chantel's in-laws treated her nicely.

As for Lidia, she said Chantel's family had behaved in "a civilized manner." There was no screaming and shouting or arguing.

However, Karen and Thomas still didn't trust Pedro's family. They thought everyone was being nice to Chantel just so they could move to America in the near future.

Chantel's family was going to head back to the United States the next day, but Chantel still had some unfinished business in order to save and protect her marriage.

Pedro's heart was broken when leaving his grandmother because he worried it might be the last time he'd see her.

Chantel and Pedro then returned to Santo Domingo so they could confront Coraima. Chantel had been holding on to so much resentment after watching the video of Coraima grinding and dancing on Pedro and just couldn't get the scene out of her mind.

Pedro didn't think dancing with Coraima was a big deal, but Chantel clearly thought it was. Pedro was therefore willing to engage in a very awkward conversation to make the woman whom he loved happy.

"This is Pedro's time to prove to me that I can trust him and I'm the only woman that matters to him in his life. He promised me that he would tell this girl that he's married to me and she doesn't stand a chance with him -- and that we're never getting a divorce," Chantel told the cameras.

Coraima thought the meeting was "stupid" and didn't want to see Chantel. When Coraima and Nicole sat down at the table, Chantel immediately got tense and things were awkward.

Chantel first called Coraima out on wanting to see Pedro a lot and spend time with him. She therefore asked Coraima to explain her intentions.

But Pedro went right into his speech about how nothing could ever happen between them because he's married to Chantel.

"This is clear," Coraima replied, before Nicole insisted Coraima had always respected that.

Coraima said she wanted Pedro to stay longer in the Dominican Republic during his previous trip because he seemed unhappy. Coraima told the cameras Chantel was just insecure.

"I understand that her insecurities are so great, she feels that I can replace her as a woman," Coraima said in a confessional.

Nicole said the meeting was unnecessary because the whole world knew they were married. Nicole explained Pedro seemed unhappy in his marriage before, but Chantel insisted she and Pedro were always happy and their problems just lied between their two families.

Nicole, however, called Pedro out for having said differently.

"That's not what he was showing," Coraima said. "I have to tell you that I didn't tie him up... I didn't put a gun to his neck or his head for him to dance with me."

But Chantel had apparently heard that Coraima wanted Pedro to date a girl from the Dominican Republic and she suggested introducing him to some of her friends. Coraima admitted saying she'd like to see Pedro with a Dominican because she didn't think Pedro and Chantel got along.

"Like me or whoever," Coraima said, smiling. "I don't care about these discussions."

Chantel then barked at Coraima to go back to work, saying, "I know you want to go to your corner over here to make your money."

Coraima complained to Nicole that Chantel looked at her like she was inferior. Coraima went on to make fun of Chantel's fake hair, fake eyelashes and heavy makeup, saying Chantel still didn't look impressive even with all of that.

Coraima then stood up from the table and pushed her hair back over one shoulder, prompting Chantel to throw a beverage at her from across the table. Once Coraima prepared to throw some food on Chantel, Pedro held Nicole back and separated the two girls.

Pedro said Chantel just made more problems and there would be consequences. Chantel felt "really bad" about the way she acted and was embarrassed.

"I just got so mad and I lost control," Chantel cried, adding that she just couldn't get over the way Coraima had flirted with Pedro.

Chantel then cried in Pedro's arms as he hugged her and told her that everything was okay. Chantel repeated, "I'm sorry," and feared she had messed things up between their two families.

Pedro promised Chantel that he had her back and they were both human and couldn't help reacting at times. Pedro said, "I love you so much," and consoled Chantel.

The episode ended with Pedro giving Chantel a piggy-back ride away from the restaurant.

Pedro told Chantel he's not a perfect man or husband but their love was perfect.
