The Family Chantel featured Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno struggling to communicate and admitting they hadn't had sex in three months and Nicole Jimeno preparing for her big beauty pageant during the Season 4 episode that aired Monday night on TLC.

Chantel explained how she and Pedro were struggling with communication and they hardly talked at all when at home together. Chantel looked forward to working on her issues with Pedro once she returned to Atlanta, GA.
"I miss him and I am excited to see him. I just want to get the same reaction from him," Chantel said in a confessional.
Over in the Dominican Republic, Pedro's sister Nicole Jimeno said it's not easy being in beauty pageants because the women must be well-groomed, work on their minds and stay fit. However, Nicole admitted her personal life was "a disaster."
Nicole said Pedro never talked to her about anything, which was hurtful, and while she had her reasons to break a bottle during their big fight, she was also prepared to apologize and say that she was wrong.
Nicole said she had called Pedro many times only to have her calls go unanswered and unreturned. She still loved Pedro, however, despite all the problems they were having.
And then suddenly, Pedro responded to Nicole's request to FaceTime. Pedro said the only reason he answered was because their mother Lidia had told them about Nicole's split from Alejandro.
Nicole explained how she had grown tired of Alejandro trying to control her and not trust her. She said she couldn't talk to her friends during the romance and he refused to change.
Pedro said he and Lidia had wasted their time in trying to get Nicole to see their point of view, but Nicole insisted her family's opinion of Alejandro definitely swayed her and ultimately convinced her to dump him.
Pedro accused Nicole of acting crazy and "talking sh-t" to him, but Nicole argued how Chantel was always the one "talking nonsense" to her. Nicole also said Pedro hadn't behaved perfectly either, especially when taking into consideration he had fought Alejandro in the street one night.

RELATED LINK: '90 DAY FIANCE' COUPLES NOWNicole said she just wanted her family's support, but on that topic, Pedro said she wouldn't support him in his search for their father. Nicole said that man is not "missing;" he had decided to leave and not to be a part of their lives.
The pair ended their FaceTime conversation on bad terms, and Nicole wished Pedro would continue being her big brother and a significant part of her life.
"I realize our relationship isn't getting better," Nicole said in a confessional, "and he doesn't care."
Once the women returned to Atlanta, Chantel shared with Winter how she and Pedro "experienced" each other online, on the phone and via videochat, which is something she could do with her friend or potential boyfriend.
Chantel said Pedro was totally in love with her when they met and he would also gush, constantly, about her beauty and his feelings for her.
"When my sister asked me about the beginnings of my relationship, it makes me sad because it was so happy, so full of life. And it just, you know, makes you wonder what changed between dating and now," Chantel explained.
"We knew everything about each other. We felt like we could read each other's minds, and now, we are the furthest thing from that," Chantel lamented to the cameras.
Meanwhile, Pedro thought Chantel's trip to Mexico was a good stress-free break for their relationship. He seemed happy once she got home to their house, and Chantel even surprised him with a cowboy hat and matching cowboy boots.

Chantel shared how Winter's surgery went very well, and then Pedro dished about how his sister was going to enter the Miss Dominican Republic beauty pageant, which made Chantel laugh.
Chantel asked Pedro if he thought Nicole would be a good representative for his country, and he replied, "Maybe not."

Chantel thought Nicole's behavior was total opposite of a graceful, polite and poised pageant queen, and Pedro didn't seem to disagree. Pedro said he had no intention to make up with Nicole, mainly because she never even apologized to him on the phone.
"I feel like you've been distant from me lately, too, and I don't want us to drift further apart," Chantel explained, before asking Pedro to open up and talk to her more.
Pedro claimed nothing was going on internally, but Chantel said Pedro was only having "surface level" conversations with her, with no depth, heart or emotion.
Chantel wished Pedro would communicate with her better, but Pedro just asked his wife to be there for him no matter and have his back.
"I don't share me feelings with Chantel because Chantel doesn't understand what's in my mind," Pedro said in a confessional.
"Sometimes I don't understand her... or where she's coming from. Right now, I feel like me and Chantel have two totally different [ways] to see the world. For me, something black. For her, something white."
Later on, Nicole was shown visiting with a doctor to have work done on her jaw. She wanted a chin injection because she thought her chin was very small, and Nicole was joined by her mother and best friend Coraima.
Lidia apparently had no problem with Nicole making little changes to her appearance if those changes would make her feel free, more confident and more beautiful.
Nicole's filler injection was going to last for about a year.

After Nicole saw how her chin had improved, she said she'd like to lift her eyebrows and more.
Fans were then allowed to watch Pedro conduct a walk-through of a home at the start of his real estate career. Pedro needed a little practice on providing a client with more information, but he seemed to be enjoying his job.
Karen then revealed his son Royal and daughter-in-law Angenette are expecting their first child together. Karen was looking forward to being "a glammy" instead of "a grammy."
"I am too fabulous to be called Granny," Karen joked.
Royal and Angenette had moved pretty far away from the Everett clan, but Chantel said her relationship with Angenette had progressed and she was really excited to be an aunt.
Karen also cracked up with laughter over the thought of Nicole entering a beauty pageant. Chantel acknowledged how Nicole is beautiful but it was hard to see because of "how ugly she is on the inside."
Chantel laughed about how Nicole had stormed into a hotel barefoot, throwing glass bottles until the police were called on her.
Karen joked about Nicole having a slim, fat, none chance of winning the crown.
Chantel then complained about how Pedro was totally focused on work, and Karen advised her daughter to spend quality time with Pedro and maybe even get pregnant.

Chantel insisted her quality time was not Karen's business, and Karen just rolled her eyes.

"We're not even physically in a capable state of making a baby. We need to start the fire back in the relationship before we can -- there's no possibility of a baby yet," Chantel explained.
It then became time for the Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2021 pageant, and Nicole woke up at 5AM feeling nervous. It had always been Nicole's dream to win a crown and have a title, and Lidia wished her the best of luck.
Lidia and Nicole's relationship got a lot better once she dumped Alejandro.
Coraima supported Nicole in the audience and took a lot of photos, and Nicole vented about not being as important to Pedro as she had thought.
Nicole's energy was high and she walked confidently across the stage during rehearsals.
The episode concluded with Chantel trying to make Pedro happy and fulfill his expectations for a wife, doing all of the cooking and cleaning.
Chantel said she tried her best every day and even put her pride aside to be a good wife while Pedro's actions towards her hadn't changed.

When Pedro woke up one morning, Chantel was scrambling eggs for Pedro, who demanded boiled eggs instead. Chantel pointed out how their house looked pretty clean, but he didn't appear impressed.
Pedro believed Chantel only did things when she was asked, and he complained, "I don't need a maid. I need a partner."
Pedro called Chantel "woman" and told her to put salt in the pot and cook the eggs right, and Chantel became increasingly more frustrated.

Chantel wanted her husband to recognize when she was doing something nice for him and not be rude to her. Chantel said she had been a good wife for two weeks and hadn't seen any positive change in Pedro.
"What's going on with you, Pedro? I want the old Pedro back," Chantel griped. "You haven't been kissing me and you haven't been hugging me. We haven't had sex in months."
Pedro confirmed they hadn't been intimate in three months, and so she asked him, "Why?"
Chantel missed making love to Pedro all the time and how he used to affectionately call her "Pinky." The couple stopped being lovey dovey once they returned home from the Dominican Republic.
Chantel walked away from Pedro crying, and he didn't go after her. Pedro said he was trying to grow up and do something with his life.
He said he wanted his relationship with Chantel to be 50/50 and have Chantel stop thinking about herself.
