The Family Chantel premiered its second season on TLC on Monday with Pedro Jimeno's sister Nicole revealing she's in love with a man in New York and Chantel Everett's brother Royal bringing his wife Angenette home from the Philippines, which stirred up some resentment for Pedro and a new set of issues.

The Family Chantel Season 2 broadcast began with Pedro and Chantel reminiscing about their relationship and Pedro calling his wife a "guitar" because of the curves of her body.
Chantel admitted their relationship was a rollercoaster and there was "never a dull moment," especially because of their family involvement.
As viewers saw on Season 1, Pedro's mother Lidia and sister Nicole don't like Chantel, and in turn, Chantel's family is skeptical of Pedro and his intentions for marrying Chantel to begin with.
After taking a hot shower together and Pedro calling his wife "Pinky-winky," Pedro was shown at work in what appeared to be a home-supplies store and Chantel was shown studying with her friends.
"Pedro and I are just trying not to get swept up in family drama and focus on day-to-day life together," Chantel told the cameras.
"My focus right now is school and on passing my exams. Graduation is a few weeks away, and I am so done!... This is the start of a new chapter in our lives."
Pedro said he wanted to buy a house and start school because he didn't want to spend his entire life working in a warehouse. Pedro said he looked forward to achieving the American dream.
"In America, you need to think big!" Pedro said.
"Tell your family they have to think small because they're on a small island, so stop asking for money so we can live big," Chantel said in response with a smile.

RELATED LINK: '90 DAY FIANCE' COUPLES NOWLater on, Chantel picked Pedro up from work and brought him shopping so they could buy a gift for her brother Royal, who had moved back to Atlanta.
Chantel's mother Karen was throwing a birthday party for Royal, and she probably anticipated a joyful celebration since Royal had been away from Georgia for two years prior.
Royal was going to school and working in Texas.
"Royal left just after Pedro arrived to America, so since everything has been rocky between Pedro and my family in general, they just don't know one another," Chantel revealed.
Pedro said he didn't have much information on Royal, and Pedro was also going to meet Royal's wife Angenette, whom Chantel called "really sweet" but also "kind of quiet." Chantel hoped Angenette would open up to her more.
Royal and Angenette, who is from the Philippines, apparently used the same K-1 visa process Chantel and Pedro had used. Chantel, however, said Royal married Angenette one week after she arrived in the United States instead of getting to know each other over the course of three months.
"That's time they missed out on to see if they were even going to work out the way they expect," Chantel noted.
Pedro didn't want to spend much money on Royal's gift, but Chantel said he had no right to give her a budget when they often sent money to his family in the Dominican Republic.

Pedro confirmed he still wanted to bring Lidia and Nicole to the United States, but Chantel said she wasn't going to help her husband do that.

"If Lidia and Nicole move in with Pedro and I, they would have 24-hour access to ruining my life and my marriage," Chantel said.
Chantel reminded Pedro they had purchased clothing, accessories and a purse for Pedro's loved ones as well as an $800 iPhone. She therefore didn't think it would be a big deal to buy Royal a $300 guitar.
Pedro was upset Chantel's family seemed fine with Royal's relationship when Chantel had traveled to the Dominican Republic seven times -- compared to Royal's single trip -- and the pair really got to know each other before marrying. Pedro said he had been fighting with Chantel's family for four years.
Chantel acknowledged maybe her parents felt differently about their eldest son.
"I do agree something seems off with the way Pedro and I were received and the way Royal and Angenette are received. But I don't want to cause trouble; I just wish it would've been different for Pedro and I," Chantel explained.
Meanwhile, in the Dominican Republic, Nicole said she had been very busy finishing up her studies in journalism. She was set to graduate from college very soon and hadn't seen her pal Coraima, whom Chantel apparently can't stand, in a long time.
Fans last saw Chantel throw a drink in Coraima's face.
During a girls' outing to the beach, Nicole revealed she was "in love" with a man named Alejandro.
"Honestly, I am super in love," Nicole gushed to her friend of her boyfriend, whom she had been dating for "a few months" when the show filmed.
Nicole nicknamed Alejandro her "chichi" and said he bought her shoes, a watch, a cellphone and more. She called her boyfriend "attentive" and said she appreciated how he showed her love.

The pair actually met many years beforehand at a party and Nicole had noticed him on Instagram. Alejandro sent Nicole a message and asked her, "When are you coming to visit?"
Nicole subsequently visited her man in New York twice, but she said having a long-distance relationship with him was "very complicated." However, she had a trip to New York planned for the following month, and Nicole's ultimate goal was to move to New York as soon as possible.
Nicole, however, said the idea of introducing Alejandro to her mother stressed her out. Coraima told Nicole that she could find a Dominican man without having to move to America, but Nicole said her man is very respectful and different.
"There is something I didn't want to tell Coraima," Nicole teased. "I don't want to share this information with Coraima, my mother and anyone because I'm afraid that they won't want to get to know Alejandro. And that scares me a lot."
Since Chantel's parents, Karen and Everett, returned from their trip to the Dominican Republic, their daughter Winter moved in with them because her relationship with Jah had fallen apart once Winter learned he had lied to her about having another child.
Winter admitted her life was turned upside down.
Karen and Everett looking forward to seeing Royal's "beautiful bride" Angenette, and they said Royal always looked out for the family and had his siblings' back.
Pedro was invited to Royal's birthday party after not showing up to numerous family events. Karen tried to explain they reacted to Angenette differently because Chantel's parents had met Pedro "under false pretenses."
Karen explained Royal and Angenette were transparent about their relationship and Angenette's family is also very supportive of the marriage.
When Royal arrived, he felt guilty about having been so absent from his family; however, he pointed out that Angenette was the most amazing woman he had ever met.

Karen told Angenette that she looked forward to meeting her family, and Karen further explained her son's marriage is different because Pedro's mother and sister had allegedly "shopped around for an American" woman for Pedro to meet and marry.
"That usury component didn't happen with Royal and Angenette, so we welcome her into our family with open arms," Karen explained.
Chantel then invited Angenette to join Winter and herself for a girls' day out.
Royal gushed about how being married was good and he and Angenette were going to have a second wedding in the Philippines. They had married several months ago at a court house in the middle of the week when everyone was at work.
Royal, who said he met Angenette online, invited his family to attend his second wedding.
Royal told Pedro that Angenette messaged him first when they met and then he visited her in the Philippines twice. The pair met when Royal was in Texas for school and Angenette had sent him a friend request on Facebook.
Royal clarified, however, that the pair talked and got to know each other for one year before his first trip to the Philippines. Royal visited Angenette in the Philippines twice but said he proposed to her during his first trip.
Pedro asked Royal if Angenette was sending money home to her family in the Philippines, and Royal said that didn't happen yet. Royal thought such a question was "inappropriate" but mentioned how Pedro and Chantel drama was not his problem.
Chantel's brother River agreed he had no problem welcoming Angenette with open arms because Royal had been honest with them all along. River mentioned he probably wouldn't be interested in finding a partner abroad.
When Pedro and Chantel left the party, Pedro pointed out to his wife how it seemed like Angenette "tried to find" Royal because she had been the first of the two to reach out.
"It sounds like she was fishing for an American," Chantel replied, before telling the cameras she was "worried and concerned" about Royal's relationship.

Chantel didn't think Angenette was showing her true self in order to make a good impression on Karen and Everett, so Chantel wanted to get closer to Royal's wife and really get to know her in order to protect her brother.
"If she's just here to use [Royal], then she doesn't need to be here at all," Chantel said.
Pedro then shared his weight-loss progress with fans. He said he had gained 40 pounds in three years because he loves American food, but he dropped about 25 pounds doing Muay Thai, which is a form of boxing and exercise.
While at the gym, Pedro FaceTimed with Nicole and Lidia and revealed his relationship was fine. Pedro said it was a bit hypocritical that Chantel's family was fine with Royal and Angenette's marriage.
Nicole and Lidia were immediately frustrated by that news because the girls agreed Chantel's family had treated Pedro very poorly and even "humiliated" him repeatedly. Nicole therefore wondered why Chantel's family wasn't investigating Angenette.
"I think they have mental problems," Lidia told the cameras.
Pedro then brought up Nicole's boyfriend, and Chantel slammed her husband's sister by saying, "I've never met any of Nicole's clients." Pedro told Chantel to watch her mouth.
Chantel figured Nicole was just using this guy to get to the United States, and Lidia even mentioned how Alejandro is not the right guy for Nicole.
"I think she should find someone better," Lidia said.

Pedro also agreed Nicole has made mistakes with men in the past and he wanted to meet Alejandro in person to "see how he is."

The girls drank champagne together and Angenette hoped she could bond with Royal's sisters. Royal apparently told Angenette to not drink too much, and Angenette revealed Royal actually had a habit of telling her what to do.
Royal initially didn't even want Angenette to go out. He supposedly only allowed Angenette to go out since she'd be spending time with his sisters.
Chantel and Winter curled Angenette's hair and got her all dolled up, and the group went out dancing. Chantel wondered, however, if Angenette was hiding something because she was so quiet.
Royal wanted to pick Angenette up before the party even started, and Angenette said Royal didn't like her going out late at night. Chantel could tell Royal was being "controlling" and Angenette should be able to go out whenever she wanted and with whomever she wanted.
Once at the club, Angenette drank alcohol for the first time and said she didn't like it.
Angenette said she never did things like that in the Philippines, but Chantel didn't think it was her first rodeo.
Suddenly, Royal showed up at the club to pick up Angenette, and Chantel yelled, "She's not drunk!" Chantel said Royal had never behaved this way with past girlfriends and things just weren't adding up for her.
"I feel like Royal just didn't want her to be out in any environment where there would be other guys. Maybe he's insecure about her looking for another guy," Chantel reasoned.
Chantel told Royal that they were just having fun, but Royal took Angenette away.
"There's something Royal told me when they first started dating that I'm only starting to realize is a big deal. Royal told me that Angenette was romantically messaging other guys that were also in America," Chantel said.
"I didn't think much of it then, but after tonight, I'm feeling really concerned and confused about the relationship between Royal and Angenette.
