The Family Chantel featured Chantel Everett and her mother confronting Jah about hiding his first-born son from Winter and Pedro Jimeno trying to bond with his wife's father and brother during Monday night's episode on TLC.

The private investigator had found public records of Jah making child support payments to a nine-year-old son, a child whom Winter and the rest of the family knew nothing about.
Chantel felt "so, so sad" for 24-year-old Winter because her sister loved and trusted Jah. Chantel said Winter put her own dreams, schooling and career goals on hold to take care of Jah and his daughter.
Chantel wondered why Jah hid one of his children from Winter and wondered if he was trying to work things out with his secret child's mother. But Karen wondered if Jah was just embarrassed about his nine-year-old since he would've welcomed the baby in high school.
Karen simply said people make mistakes, but Chantel pointed out Karen was much angrier about her marriage with Pedro. Karen explained Pedro was "a user" and it actually surprised her that Jah was hiding this big part of his life.
Had Pedro welcomed a secret child, Karen admitted it wouldn't surprise her at all.
Karen acknowledged she could help Jah if he was embarrassed or ashamed about his past, but she and Chantel anticipated Winter would be very shocked and hurt. Chantel was even hesitant to tell her sister at all.
Pedro was then shown arriving at the dude ranch with Chantel's father Thomas and brother River. The trio dressed in cowboy hats and planned to ride horses.
River had no intention of bonding with Pedro and becoming buddies because their issues cut deep, but Pedro was hoping his dynamic with Chantel's family could improve, especially because he planned to bring his mother Lidia and sister Nicole to the United States later on.

Pedro assumed if he mended fences with River, Chantel might feel more compelled to solve her issues with his own family members.
RELATED LINK: '90 DAY FIANCE' COUPLES NOWAt the very least, this guys' outing was a step in the right direction for the men in Chantel's life. And at the start of the day, Pedro and River appeared to actually get along and joke around.
Pedro said he had the best time of his life with Thomas and River, and then the three men sat down to enjoy a drink together.
"We enjoyed this day. This was the first time they treat me with respect, like, I'm not criminal," Pedro said.
Pedro then asked the guys why they never treated him like this from beginning. Pedro didn't understand why they disliked him and didn't put effort in.
River explained he liked Pedro right off the bat but didn't trust him because they found out Pedro was not in the United States on a student visa two days before his wedding to Chantel.
Pedro insisted it was Chantel's decision at the time to lie to her family and it wasn't his fault.
River was willing to leave his problems with Pedro in the past, and Pedro was happy to hear that. River didn't envision himself becoming brothers with Pedro overnight, but Pedro finally felt like he was a part of Chantel's family.
"I hope this can get better. I don't have a father. I don't know my father. My mom tell us that he have another family, and I no asking too much about that story because it's too hard for me. That's why I need to grow up so fast, to take care of my sister and my mom," Pedro revealed to the cameras.

Pedro said his dream was to become a professional baseball player but his mother worked constantly and couldn't bring him to his games every day. Pedro felt if he had a father, he would've gone pro.
"I'm jealous of the relationship Thomas and River have. I hoped coming to America they could be like [that] to me, but they're not. But now, something can change," Pedro said.
The guys had a good conversation, and Thomas was very pleased about how the day had gone.
Meanwhile, Chantel and Karen were driving to Jah and Winter's place to tell her the truth.
Chantel didn't know how to tell her sister that the man she loved had been lying to her since the start of their romance. Chantel said Winter had put her whole heart and soul into her relationship.
Even though the situation was about Jah, Karen continued to diss Pedro by calling him "a pathetic user."
Karen and Chantel then stormed into Jah's place and informed Winter that they were well aware he had a son. Karen wished Jah had told Winter about his first-born child six years ago when they started dating.
Jah said he was "flabbergasted" and the situation was "crazy," but Winter demanded to know the truth.
"This is not how I wanted to get the chance to talk to Winter. I don't got anything to say," Winter said, before pouring himself a glass of wine at the table.
Winter then left the room. Jah couldn't believe Chantel's family had "set this up," but Chantel argued he had set this situation up himself.

Jah told Winter behind closed doors the information was true and then she could be heard bursting into tears and saying she felt "stupid" and "sick."

Karen was "extremely disappointed" Jah never came clean to Winter, who asked her long-term boyfriend for the truth. Jah said he was going to tell her, but he wouldn't share his side of the story with Winter.
Jah refused to talk, and so Winter let him leave and seemed very angry.
The next day, Pedro returned home to Chantel. Pedro said he had tried to make peace with her family and they had "a good time" at the dude ranch. Chantel was so happy Pedro was making an effort to get along with her family.
Chantel then shared with Pedro how she and Karen had hired a private investigator to do some research on Jah. Pedro didn't like the idea, but then Chantel told him that Jah had a second child whom he was hiding from Winter.
Pedro was shocked, and Chantel admitted she didn't want Winter to marry Jah. Although Pedro felt bad for Winter, he laughed and felt a tad relieved because he was no longer "the black sheep" or the "bad person" in the family.
Meanwhile, Karen shared with Thomas and River how Jah had a secret second child. Thomas was "at a loss for words," and River didn't know what to feel. River was upset but wondered if there was more the story they needed to hear.

Karen was glad Thomas and River had a good time with Pedro in the cabin overnight, but she still thought there were problems with Pedro that needed to be solved.
Karen told her husband and son that they needed to be there for Winter whether she decided to stay with Jah or not.
Chantel was worried Winter was mad at her for hiring a private investigator, so she invited Winter over her apartment to talk and enjoy some sushi and wine. Winter revealed she and Jah hadn't spoken and he was ignoring her phone calls.
"My emotions are all over the place. I'm very confused and I'm hurt because why did he feel like he could not share his son with me? I accepted [his daughter]. He could've told me," Winter told the cameras.

"I felt very hurt my family went behind my back because I could've been at the investigator's office too... At the end of the day, that's my relationship and this is my life," Winter explained.
Chantel revealed to Winter that she had felt the need to snoop into Jah's past because he was planning on proposing marriage to her.
Winter cried and said "that sucks" because she admittedly really wanted to marry him. That very night, they were talking about taking their relationship to the next level.
"I feel like that's all down the drain now. It's unfortunate because that's always what I wanted, to marry Jah. And that's why I feel stupid," Winter explained.
"You're not stupid. He's stupid," Chantel noted.
Chantel felt she was protecting her sister because the situation would be worse if Winter found out years down the road Jah has a teenage son.
Winter didn't know how to explain the situation to Jah's daughter because she had been the only mother she had ever known. A part of Winter still wanted to marry Jah, but a part of her couldn't get over the fact he had lied to her.
Chantel advised her sister to at least push off the wedding and separate herself from Jah for a while.
