The Family Chantel featured Chantel Everett receiving bad news that totally changed the course of her future as well as her husband Pedro Jimeno's plans for his life during Monday night's Season 2 episode on TLC.

Winter said Royal's behavior made her feel like her brother didn't trust them, and she wondered whether Angenette was putting on "a sweet girl act" but lying beneath the surface.
"He knows it! Royal told me, clearly, at the beginning of their relationship, Angenette had been talking to four or five or six American guys before they started dating and that they have each other's social-media passwords," Chantel explained.
Chantel added that Royal didn't trust Angenette, who allegedly had sent out a string of DMs to see which American man would bite.
The family agreed they didn't want Royal to get hurt, but Chantel said she didn't want to be the one to bring up her concerns to their parents, Karen and Thomas, given her past with Pedro.
Chantel could tell her parents were more "trusting" and "accepting" of Royal and Angenette's relationship, and Pedro admitted he was frustrated Chantel's parents didn't treat them the same way when they got together and married.
Chantel didn't want anyone to take advantage of Royal, but River said he couldn't recall Royal ever making a bad decision.
"I can't really say her intentions are true," Winter told the cameras.
Winter told Chantel that she was considering moving back in with her boyfriend Jah, but Chantel insisted it was "too soon" because Jah had allegedly been lying to her for years.

Chantel said in a confessional that Winter got "very defensive" every time she brought up Jah and acted like she was being attacked. Winter agreed it was "a f-cked up situation" but accused her siblings of judging her too much.

"It's complicated. He said that he's sorry. I don't know. Eventually I feel like I can forgive him for lying to me."
Winter was then shown discussing different weight-loss surgeries with Chantel and Everett. Winter, however, recognized she'd be undergoing major surgery, and she noted she'd have to pay for a procedure out of pocket given her insurance didn't cover it.
But Chantel offered her help and told Winter they could diet and go to the gym together.
Winter said she lost 50 pounds the previous year and felt she wasn't living up to her fullest potential. However, Winter wondered whether Chantel truly wanted to help her get healthy or whether Chantel was "just tired of having a fat sister."
Meanwhile, in the Dominican Republic, Nicole went out for a girls' night and enjoyed frozen cocktails with her friends.
Nicole shared the news of her relationship with everyone, but she was keeping a secret about Alejandro she didn't want to disclose until her pals could get to know him on a personal level.

When Nicole's friends saw photos of Alejandro, they made comments about the way he dressed so informal and how he's not "darker," like the typical man Nicole is supposedly attracted to.
Nicole's friends believed Alejandro was the "opposite" of what Nicole typically likes in a guy. They seemed displeased Alejandro "sells phones" when Nicole was establishing herself as a professional career woman.
With that being said, Nicole complained her friends and family had too much "venom" and clearly didn't appreciate their criticism.
Nicole was already worried her mother Lidia might not like Alejandro, and Pedro also intended to meet up with her boyfriend in New York.
Nicole said during girls' night Pedro insisted on meeting Alejandro in person, and she predicted that would complicate things. Chantel apparently planned to join Pedro on this trip to New York.
Switching gears, Chantel revealed her graduation from nursing school was days away and she only had one more final exam to take. Chantel said she couldn't wait to finish school and start working as a nurse.
Chantel then drove to an interview she had with a plastic surgeon and she dressed up in a nice suit.
Chantel recalled going on several job interviews beforehand, but she noted those were just job fairs and she was about to interview for a position in her "dream profession."
"This is exactly the sort of thing I want to do as a nurse," Chantel shared.

During her interview, Chantel admitted she was very nervous and revealed she had Botox before. However, Chantel wouldn't share whether she's had any other work done.
It turned out Chantel was "a natural" for the position given the place is a doctor's office that has a lot to do with the beauty industry as well. The employer said she was very interested in Chantel as an applicant, and Chantel hoped she'd get the job.

Later on, Chantel and Karen went shopping for outfits for a holiday photo featuring the entire family. The theme of the photo shoot was going to be ugly sweaters.
During their outing, Chantel said Pedro's gift to her for her graduation was going to be a trip to New York. However, Chantel explained this was another example of Pedro putting his mother and sister first since his real motive was to meet Alejandro.
Chantel figured Pedro was just trying to fit her into a plan he already had.
Chantel confessed to the cameras it was "f-cked up," and Karen added, "That's like giving your wife on Christmas a dust mop."
Karen then shared with Chantel how Royal was not happy with Chantel and Pedro because Pedro had asked too many questions at Royal's birthday party, including whether Angenette was a mail-order bride.
Karen said not everyone is a "scandalous and sneaky" user, and she said she believed Angenette was a nice, normal girl. Karen told the cameras that she had no reason to believe Angenette didn't have pure intentions.

Chantel and Pedro then reunited and Chantel said she had "good and bad news." Chantel said she passed all of her classes but wouldn't be able to graduate because her test average was three points off.
Chantel said she had practiced walking across the stage for graduation and everything but was subsequently told she must reapply to attend school next semester. Chantel was in tears and Pedro was shocked.
Pedro seemingly couldn't believe Chantel had failed her final exam, which made Chantel very angry.
"You need to be ready," Pedro said.

Chantel wanted to start her career and was very upset she'd be a semester behind her friends. Chantel cried to Pedro saying that she needed his support but only her friends were supporting her through this.
"You out of anybody should know how much this hurts me right now!" Chantel cried.
"I support you more than your family right now, and you know that!" Pedro replied.
"But you're not giving me what I need!" Chantel argued in tears. "You're not! You're not. You're not."
Pedro said Chantel failing her test resulted in him not being able to start his life because he couldn't stop working at the warehouse any time soon.

"It's my turn to go to school. It's my turn to make my life. It's my opportunity to have my own degree too. My future changed one hundred percent because she didn't graduate," Pedro lamented in a confessional.
Pedro said he wanted to cry and his heart was broken as well, especially because he knew how much graduating on time meant to Chantel. Pedro therefore apologized for his reaction and told Chantel that he loved her no matter what and always would.
"I support you all the time," Pedro insisted, before hugging and comforting his wife. "It's going to be fine, okay? We're still going to fly to New York for fresh air for your brain... I love you so much."
Pedro acknowledged he needed to step up for Chantel and support her better, so he decided to take driving lessons in attempt to obtain his driver's license.
Pedro was very nervous at the wheel, and his instructor rated Pedro a 3 on a scale from 1-10. However, the instructor believed Pedro could get to a 10 in no time, with some practice and hard work.

Nicole feared Pedro would ask too many questions and didn't want Chantel to get involved, but Pedro said he was going to go no matter what.
"I don't know anything at this point -- who is his family and how [did he] get to the United States? That's why my mom and I, we been so worried about her," Pedro explained in a confessional.

Nicole told Pedro that Chantel would make her look bad and ruin everything. Nicole didn't like the idea she wouldn't be able to defend herself if Chantel said something unflattering, and Nicole's behavior made Pedro think that his sister was hiding something.
Nicole decided to give Pedro her boyfriend's phone number but asked her brother not to try to break up her relationship.
It then became time for the family's Christmas photo shoot, and Chantel said her entire family agreed not to talk about the fact she had failed her final exam for nursing.
At the photo shoot, Winter announced she no longer celebrated Christmas, which upset Karen, who believed Jah had introduced her daughter to a new belief system.
Chantel told Winter that she was "going down the wrong path," adding, "Don't even get me started on Jah!"
"He has changed my sister so much and has been keeping her from celebrating holidays with us and seeing her extended family," Chantel told the cameras.
Winter accused Chantel of treating her like a doormat, and then Winter stormed out of the photography studio and called Chantel a "dumb-ss b-tch!"
