The Family Chantel's fourth season premiered with Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno having relationship problems, Winter Everett anticipating her big weight-loss surgery, and Pedro Jimeno and his sister Nicole Jimeno refusing to repair their relationship during the episode that aired Monday night on TLC.

"Our own little nest," Chantel gushed.
Chantel was shown raking leaves in the fall, and the couple was scheduled to move in a few weeks later. Pedro was excited to have a door to the toilet room, saying they had really made it.
Chantel said Pedro was like a jungle man outside with his machete and bare feet, chopping down weeds and vines. And Chantel looked forward to buying dining room furniture.
Pedro had been inspired by his real estate agent to pursue a career in real estate and serve the Spanish-language market.
Pedro anticipated taking a 74-hour course class and then hopefully passing a big test so that he could sell houses.
Chantel asked Pedro if he had engaged in any conversation with Nicole or mother Lidia since returning to Atlanta, and Pedro said he was on speaking terms with his mother again but had yet to talk to Nicole.
"It was hard watching his family not being nice to him or sensitive to his feelings about his father, not getting in touch with him," Chantel explained.
Pedro admitted that situation was very hurtful, but Chantel seemingly wanted Pedro to patch things up with Nicole because the demise of that relationship was affecting their current life together and relationship dynamic.
"I've seen a change in him that I can't explain," Chantel noted.
Later on, Chantel's sister Winter, 26, revealed that her ex-boyfriend Jah was still contacting her and sending her balloons and gifts.

Jah had asked Winter to give back her engagement ring, and so the family didn't want to see them getting back together. Winter even slammed a bouquet of red roses on the cement.
In a few days, Winter was about to undergo a bariatric surgery in Mexico. Chantel thought the surgery was best for Winter, but she wasn't confident in her sister going under the knife in Mexico.
"She's a little too trusting," Chantel claimed.
Winter was trusting TikTok Barbie, who claimed she had her procedures in Mexico. But Winter was required to bring her own socks and bandages, which left Chantel and their brother River very skeptical and concerned.
Winter, however, said the decision was hers and hers alone -- and she apparently didn't care what anyone else thought, especially because the surgery was more "cost effective" in Mexico.
Chantel warned Winter about possible infection and side effects of the surgery, but Winter didn't want to hear about that or talk about it.

Meanwhile, in the Dominican Republic, Nicole was getting back into beauty pageants. She previously won Miss Earth and planned to compete in Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Universe 2021.
She didn't think beauty pageants are sexist at all; on the contrary, she believes they boost a woman's self-esteem.
She also said it's important for women to speak well, be smart, and also be mindful of their bodies and overall health.
Nicole's best friend Coraima intended to support Nicole through it all.

Pedro's mother was then shown saying that Nicole probably should have gone to jail for throwing a bottle at Chantel. Nicole, however, claimed Chantel had called her "a prostitute" and that was totally unacceptable.
Nicole told Coraima she had "exploded" at Pedro but felt liberated upon flipping out at him and Chantel. Nicole said Chantel will never speak to her like that again and she essentially made sure of that.
And Nicole revealed to her pal, "Alejandro and I are no longer a thing. We ended the relationship... I'm tired. He doesn't change."
Coraima predicted Nicole and Alejandro would get back together, but Nicole insisted that wasn't going to happen. Nicole reiterated how they were "done" and she didn't want to see him ever again.
Chantel's family later traveled to Tijuana for Winter's procedure. Winter was clearly nervous but attempted to keep her energy and mindset positive.
But first, Winter was about to meet "the weight-loss Barbie" in San Diego to talk about her sleeve surgery, which she had three years prior.
Chantel thought it was weird to take advice from someone dressed up like a Barbie, but Chantel pointed out how you should never judge a book by its cover.

"Hell to the nah!" Chantel admitted with a big smile.
While Chantel's family was heading to Tijuana, Nicole and Coraima were filmed going out partying and dancing. Nicole was excited to have a few drinks and a good time as a single woman.
"I feel so good to be single now. And I have new boobs," Nicole proudly revealed.
Lidia took pride in Nicole and Alejandro's breakup, claiming she had gotten rid of the "trash" and "scumbag." Lidia never liked Alejandro and said she had worked too hard to raise a daughter that would end up with a man like that.
Lidia hoped Nicole would meet a successful American man, and Nicole admitted the man would need to have money and not be sexist.
As for Pedro, Lidia was hoping to receive an apology from him after their explosive altercation at the hotel. But Pedro was embarrassed and disappointed in how his mother and sister had behaved, and he said he was done with that because their actions broke his heart.
Over in Tijuana, Karen said she was "secretly terrified" about Winter's surgery but couldn't say so because it would freak Winter out.
In order to keep things light, the trio of girls did some shopping for souvenirs and enjoyed a nice lunch outdoors.
Winter shared how she had dipped her toes into the dating pool and met a nice 25-year-old man from Nigeria. Winter said she never talked to someone in Africa but she wasn't against dating a man from another country.
Winter had a "fairy tale" in mind, telling Karen and Chantel how the man seemed great.
But Chantel worried this man just wanted to come to America and may not have the best intentions.

"Pedro has been getting on me a lot about cooking and cleaning. I've been doing all the wifely duties," Chantel said in a confessional.
"I got three cookbooks and an Instapot. I feel I do just as much stuff as Pedro does, and I think it's clear through my actions that I'm trying to do even more."
While chatting via FaceTime, Chantel suggested they should hire a handyman, but then Pedro said they needed a maid.
Chantel insisted she was trying to be "Superwoman" by working full-time and then coming home and putting food on the table.
Chantel broke down into tears, saying Pedro was just trying to make her feel bad.
Chantel said she never saw glimpses of "the old Pedro" and he had been so "distant" from her.
"He makes it hard for me to know anything about him. I feel like I love my husband but I don't know how to fix our relationship," Chantel explained.
