The Family Chantel featured Chantel Everett, feeling totally unloved, sleeping away from Pedro after the pair had a big fight and Nicole Jimeno rejecting Alejandro's plea to get back together during the Season 4 episode that aired Monday night on TLC.

Winter was aware things were tense between Chantel and Pedro, but Chantel didn't want to confide in her sister so that she wouldn't change her mind about Pedro. After all, Pedro had been getting along with Chantel's family great.
Winter had gone a month without eating solid foods, and so when Chantel suggested she could get some protein by eating chicken broth, Winter cringed.
Winter shared how dating was fun and she had gone out on a date with a guy named Chris. Winter ditched her long-distance romantic interest after he had asked for financial assistance.
Winter felt she looked "freakin' hot" and so he confidence was through the roof, and she realized that she deserved a great man and to have a good time.
"Don't get serious with them, not until you know that they are marriage material," Chantel explained to her sister.
Chantel told Winter that her future partner needs a steady job and how looks are worth nothing.
"It's all about how he treats you," Chantel added.
Winter said she'd like to be attracted to her guy in some capacity, but Chantel pushed how compatibility, respect and affection mean so much more than initial chemistry.
Chantel admitted to the cameras that she felt "low" because Pedro -- who used to treat her like a queen -- wasn't living up to her expectations of him as a man and a husband. Chantel apparently missed the old Pedro and how compatible they used to be.
Winter then revealed she hadn't had sex in seven years; however, she only wanted to be intimate with a man whom she's in love with.

Meanwhile, Alejandro surprised his ex-girlfriend, Pedro's sister Nicole Jimeno, at her job. Nicole told Alejandro to leave and get out, but he wasn't quick to back down.
Alejandro knew his presence wasn't going to make Nicole joyful or happy, but at the same time, he never anticipated she would have that type of strong reaction.
Nicole said she needed a man who listens to her and puts her needs first. She had asked Alejandro for time and space, which he clearly wasn't willing to give her. Nicole said Alejandro never gave her enough time to think and figure out what she wants.
Nicole called Alejandro "controlling," but he reminded her how he had flown all the way from New York City to see her.
"I don't care," Nicole yelled. "The relationship is over because of you... You were talking to a girl you saw down in Texas."
Alejandro claimed he had told the girl to move to New York because it's a better city in which to live, but Nicole wasn't buying it. She said Alejandro ruined everything, and she had clearly lost trust in him.
Nicole told Alejandro that she had no interest in seeing him and his perfume was irritating her. She said Alejandro was turning her stomach and making her gag, and she didn't want him anywhere near her.

Nicole said she hates surprises and her office wasn't the place to have a serious conversation. Nicole knew reconciling with Alejandro would create new problems between her mother Lidia and herself, and she wasn't willing to compromise her relationship with her mom again.
Pedro was then shown busy at work as a real estate agent. He acknowledged having a lot to learn, and so he was the first person in the office and the last person to leave every day.

Pedro's co-worker Antonella said her car had broken down, and Pedro thought she was really cool.
"We are [becoming] close friends. Latinos, our community, is so close. I feel like a family there. I'm so comfortable there making my new friends, [and] I believe that Chantel is jealous of that," Pedro said in a confessional.
Pedro said he had always been supportive of Chantel's career and ambitions and she didn't know how to be happy for him now that he's found a job he loves.
"Sometimes, I don't even want to get home," Pedro said as he drove Antonella home, adding how he liked to get home once Chantel was already asleep.
After surprising Nicole was an epic fail, Alejandro reached out to her best friend Coraima on social media and asked her to meet him near a park.
Coraima -- who said she never liked Alejandro's attitude -- told Alejandro that Nicole was "suffering" and his scene at her office made her cry. Coraima said Alejandro had put Nicole through a lot, but Alejandro insisted Nicole hadn't been a saint either.
Coraima reminded Alejandro how he went through Nicole's phone and she had no freedom, but he insisted that he wasn't a bad guy and Nicole had the tendency to hold grudges. Alejandro said he was ready to own his mistakes and change but no relationship is perfect.
Coraima said Nicole was depressed because she was still in love with Alejandro. Coraima said if Nicole didn't love Alejandro, she never would've put up with as much as she did.

Alejandro admitted he needed to work on trusting Nicole but was ready and willing to fight for her.
Meanwhile, Chantel had noticed Pedro was working late most nights, and she accused him of being "rude and inconsiderate." Chantel said her communication with Pedro was poor and he was living like he's single.
Pedro said when Chantel doesn't wash the dishes or do his laundry when he's working and she has a day off, that turns him off.
He expected to come home to a clean bathroom and food in the refrigerator, and he wanted Chantel to be more productive during her time off.
"I'm tired of doing everything by myself," complained Chantel, who had worked three days in a row comprised of 12-hour shifts in the hospital.
Chantel said she worked very hard and had been cooking and cleaning constantly, with no change from Pedro in terms of his attitude or treatment of her. Chantel felt hopeless, like she couldn't do anything right in Pedro's eyes.
Pedro told the cameras that when he first met Chantel, she was driven and worked really hard.
Pedro acknowledged how he and Chantel had grown apart, and Chantel told her husband that he treated her like she's stupid and annoying.

"Why are you even with me?" Chantel asked.
"Because I [didn't] know you were going to turn out like that," Pedro replied.

Chantel said Pedro was treating her poorly, just like his father had treated his mom Lidia. Chantel claimed Pedro's dad was all about disrespecting women and Pedro was behaving in the same manner.
Chantel then yelled at Pedro and dared him to tell her that he didn't like -- or love -- her.
Chantel recalled how Pedro came home at 3AM one night without his own car and he had told her lies.
Once Pedro called Chantel "lazy" again, she left the house and determined, "I'm not taking this." She felt disrespected and dubbed Pedro "mean."
Chantel lamented about how she didn't want to lose her marriage but she wasn't sure if Pedro still loved her. Chantel believed that Pedro was intentionally trying to hurt her.
Chantel decided to crash at her brother River's place that night, but River had no idea what was going on with Chantel and Pedro's relationship.

Chantel explained how she just needed some peace and to rest, but River pleaded with her to tell him the truth. Chantel said she left the house because she didn't want to clean it, but River knew something else was going on.
River was sad to see his sister in this bind, and he didn't seem like he was going to let things go.
Over in the Dominican Republic, Coraima and Nicole went out to lunch together, and Coraima recalled the events of her private meeting with Alejandro.
Nicole figured Alejandro had tried to manipulate her best friend, and she expressed no interest in hearing what her ex-boyfriend had to say. Nicole said she had given Alejandro a hundred of chances to change but he never followed through.

The episode concluded with River stopping by his mother Karen Everett's house for a chat. River hoped to find some clarity on the situation, but Karen was also in the dark.
Karen noted how she'd talk to Chantel, and River planned to check on Pedro, who had become a buddy and good pal to River.
Karen also intended to get to the bottom of things, and she put her punching gloves on.
