The Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have revealed what's next for them after the wedding -- including whether they plan to stay in New Jersey and when they'll embark on their honeymoon.

"It's been really good," Theresa gushed of post-wedding life with Gerry during the January 16 episode of Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt's "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.
"Gerry had to go back home to get his dog and to straighten out a few things and to visit his dad again. And then he just drove here [to New Jersey]."
Gerry, an Iowa native, drove from his house in Indiana all the way to Shrewsbury, NJ, which was about a 10-hour drive, and then Theresa welcomed him into her home with "a gloriously good" salmon dinner, according to The Golden Bachelor star.
Gerry said he's been trying to eat healthy with Theresa but it's going to be an adjustment, especially since he loves his snacks and dessert.
"It's a process. I'm going to get there, but it will just take a little time," Gerry noted, adding how Theresa wants him to try a good New Jersey bagel for breakfast.
Gerry said he has all of his clothes, tools, Pickle Ball equipment and dog toys with him.
When Serena asked the couple if they're still planning to move to Charleston, SC, together, Theresa shared, "We're still going to look there, yeah, absolutely."
Theresa added, "We're going to consider New Jersey, but it's probably going to be outside of Charleston. So that's the plan!"
Gerry's new wife quipped, "The plan is that we're going to plan. We're going to sit down and plan, and all of a sudden, my wheels started spinning about our trip to Italy."

On The Golden Bachelor: After the Final Rose that aired in late November, ABC had gifted Gerry and Theresa a trip to Italy that could serve as their honeymoon.
"Not that I'm not having to think about the wedding or our Christmas or work -- well, I am still thinking about work -- but now I can actually plan it, and I'm so excited about it!" Theresa explained.
"We're thinking of going in May or June when the weather is really nice."
Theresa confirmed Italy will be her official honeymoon destination.
"I've already been to Rome and above, so we're thinking Rome and below," Theresa noted.
"And maybe being in a luxury hotel and mixing that up with being right in the economy with the people, so we can get a feel of the people... because I'm full Italian, even though I don't speak it."
Gerry concluded how Capri is at the top of their list for their upcoming vacation.
While in New Jersey, Gerry and Theresa have been tasting food at different restaurants. They enjoyed a seemingly delicious Italian dinner and also recreated their first The Golden Bachelor date at a diner.

"I asked Theresa, 'Did you have even an inkling about how big this would be?' Because our families have joined together," Gerry explained.
"It's not just that we have impacted and changed each other, but we've changed our families and we've changed people who have watched the show."

Gerry said he senses how The Golden Bachelor has given people a newfound sense of hope about finding love, even in one's senior years.
"And I hope they find humor in some of the things we do. So there are so many ripple-effect changes. They're all positive in my opinion, that this has caused," Gerry said.
"I looked forward to an amazing experience and to meet other women -- and hoping that it would happen -- but how in the world did this happen?! This is amazing!"
Before viewers even saw Gerry's happily-ever-after ending play out on TV, The Golden Bachelor became a cultural phenomenon and Gerry turned into an overnight celebrity.
But when the Los Angeles Times asked Gerry in December if he'll continue to seek stardom or just live a quiet life with Theresa now that the show is over, Gerry replied, "I don't think those two things are mutually exclusive."
"I can have a great, quiet life with Theresa and still look at the aspirations and ambitions that may be out there," he elaborated.
"But I will say this, I am absolutely going to savor every moment until I get to that altar and say my 'I do's.' I want every single moment to be as joyful for her as it is for me, and I never want to look back and feel I hurried through anything. We'll deal with the aspirations after that."
Gerry gushed about how he's been feeling pure "joy" since The Golden Bachelor finale.
Gerry concluded that he and Theresa "just make a perfect pair" and they're "better as a couple than [they] are individually."

Gerry and Theresa, however, were able to understand and relate to each other on a deep level when discussing loss and past trauma.
Gerry's wife, Toni, had passed away in 2017 from a bacterial infection after 43 years of marriage. Theresa lost her husband, Billy, in 2014 from kidney failure after 42 years of marriage.
Gerry, however, came under fire recently for allegedly having had -- and not being honest about -- a live-in girlfriend of nearly three nears after Toni passed away. Gerry responded to the accusations late last year, as did Theresa.
