The Golden Bachelor frontrunner Theresa Nist has spoken out about her drama with fellow bachelorette Kathy Swarts on the show.

Kathy, a 70-year-old retired educational consultant from Austin, TX, got annoyed and frustrated with Theresa, a 69-year-old financial services professional from Shrewsbury, NJ, on the latest episode of The Golden Bachelor, and it resulted in women picking sides and many tears shed.

Theresa appeared to be on a high after her one-on-one date with Gerry, and Kathy accused Theresa of bragging about her strong connection with Gerry and essentially being insensitive to the other women.

The Golden Bachelor bachelorette took to Instagram shortly after The Golden Bachelor episode aired and explained her side of the feud with Kathy.

Theresa posted a photo of her The Golden Bachelor watch party with family and friends and wrote, "This past episode was a bit hard for me to watch. Never in a million years did I think that I was going to find myself involved in drama. That is so not who I am."

Theresa continued, "I just thought that I was able to be open and honest with a new friend about how I was feeling. As you saw, I acknowledged that everyone felt a connection to Gerry, and I welcomed that."

The Golden Bachelor contestant pointed out how all of the senior bachelorettes were "on a journey to see who was the best fit" for Gerry.

When Theresa learned she had upset Kathy, she ran into her bedroom and cried. Luckily, Gerry rushed to her side to comfort her.

"Gerry said to me, 'If you, in your heart, don't believe that you were boastful, you don't believe that you were doing anything to hurt someone, then I think you should let it go,'" Theresa recalled in her post.

"I never ever intended to make Kathy or anyone feel less than. As Edith said, 'It's the tension that we're dating just one man.' Of course!"

Theresa also told her followers that she appreciated "the kind messages" so much.

"I am grateful to all of you that could see that I had only good intentions," she noted, "and that I felt absolutely terrible when I realized I had hurt Kathy's feelings."

Theresa concluded her post by writing, "Thank you to my friends and family that know me and know that I would never mean to make someone else feel bad in any way, and to my new friends that can already see that in me as well. Love to all! XOXOXOXO, Theresa."

On The Golden Bachelor last week, Theresa spoke to Kathy about how her first solo date with Gerry was "off the charts" and "absolutely amazing." Theresa even told her that Gerry had mentioned having a future together.

"I think she thinks she's got this," Kathy complained to The Golden Bachelor cameras of Theresa.

Kathy claimed that Theresa's eyes were telling her that she didn't "stand a chance" in the competition, adding, "I don't like it. I don't like it at all."

Kathy then broke down into tears, and Edith acknowledged how tension naturally arises when multiple women try to date one man. Edith said people were simply getting jealous of one another.

At The Golden Bachelor cocktail party preceding the Rose Ceremony, April announced how it's appropriate to keep your mouth shut about intimate moments with Gerry out of respect for him and everyone else.

Theresa immediately got upset, wondering if April's little speech was about her.

After all, Theresa was one of few women who had enjoyed intimate time with Gerry thus far.

Kathy ultimately told Gerry that she was dealing with some "meanness" in the house and women who weren't "necessarily very nice." However, she did not single out Theresa by name.

Theresa then pulled Kathy aside for a chat to clear the air, and Kathy admitted she felt like Theresa had been dismissing her.

"You made me feel like you and Gerry are going to ride off into the sunset and I need to pack my bags because I'm going home," Kathy explained to the confused and shocked bachelorette.

Theresa apologized and then Kathy continued, "You've made me feel like it's a foregone conclusion and you say things like, 'We have a huge connection.' I think that's the kind of stuff that sounds possessive, territorial and 'get the hell out of my way, he's mine.' That's not a pretty picture."

Theresa said she was just trying to be open and honest, but Kathy said she wasn't buying that and she'd like Theresa to take accountability. Theresa seemed horrified and insisted that she felt terrible for making Kathy feel that way.

Theresa then left the conversation and bawled her eyes out in her bedroom, where Gerry found her.

Gerry admitted it was very unfortunate to find out Kathy's bombshell had been about Theresa, whom he considered kind and tenderhearted. The Golden Bachelor star felt like he knew Theresa pretty well.

Gerry was upset about "the disturbance" in the house, and he worried this was going to be "a real stumbling block" in his relationship with Theresa.

Kathy, meanwhile, vented in a confessional of Theresa, "She is not Mrs. Turner yet."

After both Kathy and Theresa received roses, Theresa mentioned to Kathy how Gerry was the nicest man, especially because he had comforted her in her bedroom when she was crying.

"Theresa, that has got to stop. You've got to keep that to yourself," Kathy told her.

Kathy appeared stunned that Theresa just divulged Gerry had been in her bedroom.

"I really think Theresa had no clue [she was bragging again]. I don't. I run my mouth all the time... but I also am intuitive," Kathy explained to The Golden Bachelor cameras.

"I think Theresa is a nice person, but can't figure out if she's dumb as a rock or knows exactly what she's doing. I don't want to take the gloves off; I don't want to be mean. But zip your lips!"

But Theresa assumed everything was fine and that she and Kathy could become good friends again on The Golden Bachelor.
