Now that the couple has spent a lot of time together, including their first holiday over Thanksgiving and decorating their first Christmas tree, Chock has opened up about what he's discovered about Joan.

"Joan's just a good person. She's got a lot of friends, and she takes care of them, and she gives them attention," Chock gushed to Us Weekly.

"She's a great grandmother, just a great all-around person, and we have a lot of fun together."

Chock, however, admitted that Joan is "a little bit more adventurous" than he is.

"So we're a good team," noted the Kansas insurance executive. "She drives like an F1 race car driver!"

Joan, for her part, said she admires how Chock balances fatherhood with his career.

"I admire that he was the main parent in his kids' life from a very, very young age, as well as had a very successful business, so that's a lot of work," Joan gushed of her fiance.

"He's a good father and a good provider," she added.

Chock boasted about how the couple's relationship has been "great" since The Golden Bachelorette and they're "truly blessed" to have each other.

During a November appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, Chock shared more details about what has surprised him about Joan since the couple made a commitment to spend the rest of their lives together.

"I will tell you, I didn't know how smart Joan was," Chock admitted to Bachelor in Paradise spouses Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

"I knew she was smart, but she's a whole different level."

Chock suggested that Joan wears the pants in their relationship and that he's totally fine with that.

"She's going to be the matriarch, and I like it! And she's been very helpful to me," Chock shared.

Chock said it felt like he and Joan had already been married for three to five years.

"There are certain things where I'm like, 'Joan, just tell me where I need to be and what I need to do.' She'll be like, 'Book reservations for dinner in New York City next weekend.' It just works so well!" Chock gushed.

"And we've already learned that the five percent of non-negotiables, like, 'This is what I want to do,' we're both good with that."

Chock explained how he and Joan have already lived great lives but now it's "just about having fun" together, with "no drama" to deal with.

Joan agreed, "We do not want drama."

"And the thing I learned about him is that he's a fixer," she shared. "So if I'm having something going on during the day and I'm like, 'Oh, this is really frustrating,' he's trying to figure out [how to fix]."

Joan recalled how Chock will suggest a person to call or just fix the issue himself for her.

"He doesn't want to see my unhappy or worried. If I'm unhappy or worried, he is unhappy and worried," Joan said.

Joan repeatedly said in the press while The Golden Bachelorette was airing that she didn't expect, nor did she anticipate, getting engaged at the Final Rose Ceremony.

But when Joan fell in love with Chock, she didn't hesitate to accept his romantic marriage proposal in Bora Bora.

When asked what caused her change of heart, Joan recently told Us that she realized she had been presented with a "unique opportunity" and needed to keep an open mind.

"[I thought to myself], 'I will have a hard time finding another person.' I did find out that you could really get to know somebody in that short amount of time," Joan shared.

Joan also revealed that, if Chock were ready for an engagement, she wanted to leave that decision up to him.

Joan apparently wanted to feel desired and she thought Chock proposing would be the ultimate sign of commitment.

"Chock asked me [in Fantasy Suites], 'What do you want out of this? Do you want an engagement?'" Joan recalled.

"And I said, 'I want that to be up to you. I have picked you every single week. I've given you a rose, and now it's your turn to figure out what you want. You're in the driver's seat.'"

Chock got down on one knee at the Final Rose Ceremony in Bora Bora after Joan rejected her runner-up bachelor, Guy Gansert, in second place.

While Joan changed her mind about getting engaged on The Golden Bachelorette, she's still not going to rush into a wedding with Chock.

"You're absolutely not going to see a TV wedding in three months," Joan told the magazine, seemingly alluding to the fact The Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist had wed a few months after their engagement aired on ABC.

Gerry and Theresa got married in January for a live televised special, but they announced their decision to get a divorce in April. (Their divorce has since been finalized).

"I loved that ending for Gerry and Theresa. The reason we're not having a wedding in three months has nothing to do with Gerry and Theresa," Joan insisted.

"I just don't want to have another thing I have to plan right now. When we come together for a wedding, which could be a TV wedding, might not be, it won't be in three months."

Joan added, "I just don't want to have another thing to plan right now. We are loving being together, and I want to take the time for us to get to know each other's families and friends."

But Joan and Chock revealed on "The Viall Files" in November that they will probably have a televised wedding, in order to include Bachelor Nation, in late 2025 or early 2026.

In the meantime, they'll be meeting up for romantic dates in New York City and traveling the world together.

Joan admittedly felt like her future was a "black hole" after the passing of John, but now she said the future looks "so bright" with Chock.

"The possibilities are endless for us, which is a weird thing to say at this age, but I do feel that way," Joan shared.
