The Golden Bachelorette runner-up Guy Gansert has admitted that Joan Vassos' words have made him question if she made the right decision in choosing -- and getting engaged to -- Chock Chapple.

"Never will I ever throw [Joan] under the bus, because she has a heart of gold and she is a wonderful woman. I can't think or say anything negative about her, and I say that with sincerity," Guy told Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt during a recent episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

But Guy went on to confess, "She did say some things, even on TV, that made me question her decision."

The Nevada-based ER doctor didn't reveal any specifics about Joan's alleged eyebrow-raising comments, but he suggested that he still respects Joan's final decision.

"She picked Chock, and she's got to go with her heart," Guy said. "That's her decision. I can't make that decision for her."

Guy also pointed out how Chock is a "great guy," and Chock recently revealed they're still close friends who talk pretty frequently.

"I really like Chock, and we were roommates," Guy noted.

Joan had selected Chock over Guy, who was "in love" with Joan, towards the end of her journey on The Golden Bachelorette. Joan said she had a feeling Chock was The One before her Fantasy Suite with Guy.

Following Fantasy Suites week, Guy was hoping to meet Joan's family in Bora Bora.

But after a wonderful family meet and greet with Chock, Joan decided to break up with Guy before he could even have the chance to meet her kids.

Guy cried at the time of his elimination, and he admitted to the cameras that he was totally "heartbroken" and "devastated" by his breakup with Joan.

When The Golden Bachelorette: After the Final Rose aired earlier this month, Guy said he had to "mentally prepare" for his reunion with Joan. After all, his feelings for her didn't just disappear.

Guy, however, said it was a "happy" reunion and that watching The Golden Bachelorette back on TV gave him the closure he needed.

For instance, Guy said he was able to learn "what Chock's MO was" during filming.

"It made me question myself, like, 'Should I have been a little more aggressive?' But I can only say and do what was true to my heart," Guy shared on the podcast.

"I was not going to say things prematurely. I could not be 'all in' in the beginning, and there are certain things I just couldn't do because I've got to be true to myself and be true to my heart."

Guy said if he had behaved differently, he would've been doing "a disservice" to Joan.

"That's disrespectful to her," Guy acknowledged.

Although Guy left The Golden Bachelorette without the girl, he insisted that he "still won" and is doing okay.

"[Joan] allowed me to have that transformational journey. She taught me and allowed me to realize that I can truly love again, [and find] that passionate love again. She did that, and The Golden Bachelorette allowed me that," Guy gushed.

Guy said he'll forever be grateful to Joan and The Golden Bachelorette because they changed his life, and he added how he'd "definitely" do the show again.

Joan and Chock, meanwhile, appear to be a happy couple who are thriving in the real world after their engagement aired on ABC.

Joan and Chock said they're going to spend the holidays together with Joan's family in Maryland and then begin apartment hunting in New York City, which will serve as a convenient meet-up spot for the couple.

Joan and Chock also shared how they have many international trips planned for 2025 -- including stops in Africa and France -- and that they'd like to have a televised wedding in late 2025 or early 2026.
