Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple have revealed how they adjusted to real life after filming The Golden Bachelorette and if they discovered they're truly compatible.

Following Joan and Chock's engagement at the Final Rose Ceremony in Bora Bora, which had filmed in early August, The Golden Bachelorette couple sailed away on a cruise ship together.

"We go back to the cruise ship, which was just incredible, and we went into Joan's room and we sat down and looked at each other, and I go, 'Alright, tell me about yourself!'" Chock quipped during a recent episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

Chock told Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt the moment was "surreal" in his joint podcast interview with Joan.

Joan went on to recall what happened the very next day after they got engaged.

"It was funny because that first day, I walked into the room and he had a bottle of wine at like noon, in the middle of the day, and he was like, 'So, we should probably get to know each other,'" Joan shared.

While she and Chock had important conversations during filming, it was time for them to learn the smaller things about each other.

"[The show] is always, like, where you expect to be, and you talk about your family and your loss -- and all of the things that have made you the person that you are up until this point in your life," Joan explained.

"And you don't have any of those little conversations, like, 'Where do you like to go out to dinner? Do you like to cook? What's your dog's name?' So we literally sat there for five hours and drank wine and just had all of those little conversations."

Joan said she and Chock already matched on "the big stuff" such as their values and the things they want out of life.

"But we just didn't know each other that well, honestly!" Joan confessed.

"Well, I did know her dog's name," Chock quipped.

"And he knew all my kids' names!" Joan boasted.

Chock said that he and Joan realized from the start that they were compatible and attracted to one another.

"It started instantly, and we've been very fortunate since the day we left the cruise ship. We talked at least three times a day, every day, and we have not missed a day," Chock boasted.

"It has just been fantastic to have that attraction but also to make that commitment, and also to get to know someone."

Chock said that after spending more time with Joan, he has realized they "are incredibly compatible!"

Chock shared, "I've just been so surprised about this. It's like we've been married for five to 10 years."

And Joan agreed their post-filming relationship has been "very easy" and things have been going smoothly.

"We cook very well together. We complement each other. One of us will cook one night and the other will do the dishes. She'll prepare the salad and I'll do the meat," Chock explained.

"So it's a lot of fun! And that's just part of being a couple. And then finding out what the other person likes, we just align! I'm a big eater and Joan is a big nibbler."

Joan interjected, "But we both like to drink wine, and so it's great!"

While Joan and Chock were having a great time during their several Happy Couple visits post-filming, Joan admitted it was "so hard" to keep their engagement a secret while The Golden Bachelorette aired.

But following the show's November finale on ABC, Joan and Chock were able to go public with their relationship, and they're no longer required to hide their love.

"It's pure joy," Joan said of how she's feeling post-show.

Chock added, "This is destiny for us!"

Joan had selected Chock over her runner-up bachelor, Guy Gansert, who was also falling in love with Joan during the show.

Guy had been hoping to meet Joan's family, but Joan decided to break up with him in Bora Bora before he could even have that chance.

Guy admitted he was "heartbroken" and "devastated" by his breakup with Joan, but he assured viewers he was doing okay during the live After the Final Rose special.

As for what's next for the happy couple, Joan plans to stay in Maryland and Chock will continue living in Kansas.

"We're not concerned about that at all," Chock insisted on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

Joan and Chock are also going to spend the holidays together with Joan's family and then begin apartment hunting in New York City.

Joan and Chock said they'd like to have a convenient meet-up spot where they can spend time together in the Big Apple.

Joan and Chock also shared how they have many international trips planned for 2025 -- including stops in Africa and France -- and that they're in no rush to get married.
