The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos has revealed her biggest red flag when it comes to dating.

"A red flag is people who don't treat service personnel nicely," Joan said during a recent appearance on The View.

"I hate that -- if they're rude and not nice to everybody!" she added.

Joan said if her date mistreated their hostess, server, bartender or some other professional in the service industry, she would respond by saying, "I'm done. I'm out!"

As far as what she is looking for in a man, Joan shared that someone who is "ready for adventure" would rise to the top of her list.

"You work all your life so you can get to a point where you can enjoy life. You raise your kids, you have careers, you build your home and whatever. And then the second half of your life, you want to share it with your partner and become a couple again and have some adventure," Joan explained.

"I kind of lost that when John passed away," she continued, touching upon how her late husband John Vassos passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021 after 32 years of marriage.

"I felt like I had no future, so I really want somebody who is ready for that adventure part of their life. That's what I'm looking for."

Joan said she had to overcome feelings of guilt about her late husband in order to fully enjoy and embrace her The Golden Bachelorette journey.

Before Joan's The Golden Bachelorette season premiered, she told Entertainment Weekly her list of must-haves in a partner.

Joan noted there were "a few" characteristics her future husband must have that were "really important" to her.

"He's obviously kind and a family man, and all of that kind of stuff," Joan said.

"But my father was the ultimate gentleman. He just opened doors, carried everything, you know, carried in groceries, and hopped up every time a woman walked in the room."

Joan added how her dad was "very polite," which is a quality her ideal partner will have as well.

"He never cussed and he was such a gentleman, and I am looking for a gentleman," Joan explained.

"That is something that is so charming and endearing to me, and I'm also looking for somebody who has a little sense of adventure."

When asked to reveal her celebrity crushes, Joan said the "handsome" and "funny" Rob Lowe as well as "the rugged and sexy" Kevin Costner.

On The Golden Bachelorette's latest episode, Joan established a connection with Chock Chapple during her first one-on-one date of the season.

"I don't necessarily believe in fate, but this surprises... We both learned from those great loves that we had," Joan shared in a confessional. "I just feel really connected to Chock and I feel like a princess. I am so happy and really hopeful!"

Joan also had a great time on two group dates -- one was "Prom Night" and the other was a talent show.

After getting to know 18 bachelors better over the course of a week, Joan eliminated four bachelors during the second Rose Ceremony of the season: Robert "Bob" Kilroy, Christopher Stallworth, John "Jack" Lencioni, and Michael Stevens.

Joan said she was starting to envision a future with some of her remaining bachelors, and the next The Golden Bachelorette episode is set to air on Wednesday, October 2 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
