Heidi Montag admitted she's "obsessed with plastic surgery" after undergoing 10 procedures in one day, however The Hills star claims she's not addicted.

"I'm not addicted. If I were addicted, I would have had 10 plastic surgeries," said Montag during an interview on Monday's Good Morning America broadcast.

"You did have 10 plastic surgeries," retorted Good Morning America anchor Juju Chang.

"Well, I mean 10 times. I really had two different surgeries. I had one three years ago and then I had one that I had several procedures done weeks ago," responded Montag.

"If you're addicted to something, you have to do it all the time, not once every couple years, if even."

Montag underwent the 10 procedures -- a mini brow lift; botox in her forehead and frown area; a nose job revision; fat injections in her cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips; a chin reduction; neck liposuction; ear pinning; a breast augmentation revision; liposuction on her waist, hips and inner and outer thighs; and buttock augmentation -- on November 20.

The 23-year-old discussed the 10 procedures -- which took 10 hours to complete -- in a People cover story interview in the magazine's January 25 issue.

"No one is perfect. But I am obsessed with plastic surgery and with maintaining my looks," she told People.

Montag reiterated during her Good Morning America interview that she underwent the procedures -- which have been criticized by some The Hills co-stars -- to be a better version of herself.

"I think that I do look like myself, I just think that I'm a different, improved version of myself," she told Chang.

Dr. Ryan Frank, Montag's plastic surgeon who also participated in the Good Morning America interview, said it was "safe" for her to have all 10 procedures done "together."

"Many of these are little tweaks, little things that we did. Many of these things are small things," said Frank. "A young, healthy 23-year-old, we opted to do them together."

However Dr. Thomas Romo, a plastic surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital, disagrees.

"You're pushing the envelope there -- definitively from a medical point of view -- where you're going to set up complications," Romo told Chang. "That's irresponsible from a medical point of view. My ethics would say that you don't put your patient at that risk."

Despite the plastic surgery, Montag insisted that her "main message is that beauty is really within."

"I'm in the limelight, I'm in a different industry, and I have to do things that are going to make me happy at the end of the day," she explained on Good Morning America.

"I'm living in my skin and I look in the mirror and it's my career and my life and you only have one -- so I want to take advantage of everything and be the best me in and out, every way."
