As of this morning, FOX executives are probably pretty happy with the fact that their new The Littlest Groom reality show is simply a two-episode "reality miniseries."

According to preliminary numbers from Nielsen Media Research, The Littlest Groom drew a 5.4/8 rating/share and 7.5 million overall viewers -- numbers that were only good enough to place the show fifth in its timeslot, behind NBC's Fear Factor "Couples" finale, CBS' comedies, The WB's 7th Heaven, and ABC's broadcast of Jurassic Park III.
Groom's performance was somewhat better in the coveted Adults 18-49 demographic, where the show managed a 3.1/8 rating/share to place third.
Whether viewers were simply disinterested in Groom's concept or simply tied up watching Fear Factor's "Couples" finale (which drew over 18 million viewers and set a season-high ratings records) is unclear, but reality viewers clearly had no problem flipping over to FOX at 9 PM PT/ET, as Fiance continued its good ratings run by drawing over 16 million viewers.
