The Mole aficionados are being asked to take an active approach in saving the show from execution.

"We're very proud of the show, ABC is very proud of the show, and we've got a really solid fan base out there that is very excited about the show and very happy to see it come back," Newbill told Reality TV World on Tuesday.
"But our numbers haven't been what we had hoped for. So we're trying to get some more eyes on the show."
In addition to organizing The Mole viewing parties and joining the show's facebook.com fan club, Newbill said some of the show's more creative enthusiasts can take an active approach in helping to save the show.
"We're asking people to put together a 'Save The Mole' video and post it on YouTube," he told Reality TV World. "If someone gets 500,000 hits or views on that video, we'll fly them out to Los Angeles and wine and dine them like you see the players do sometimes."
Newbill said The Mole's fifth-season Mondays at 10PM ET/PT time slot could be one reason why more viewers aren't tuning into actual broadcasts.
"It's kind of late for some people," Newbill told Reality TV World. "And a lot of people seem to be recording it on VHS or DVR systems. But we're doing everything we can."
ABC ordered The Mole's revival in January -- four years after Celebrity Mole Yucatan, the show's most recent installment, had premiered in early 2004.
However the revival has struggled to attract viewers, averaging only 4.530 million total viewers and a 1.6 rating through its first five episodes.
"The idea is to try and get people excited about the show," Newbill told Reality TV World. "We're reaching out to the fans and letting them know that we need there help to get the word out and get some more eyes on the show as we build towards our finale. Hopefully that will happen so we can get another season and keep The Mole going."
The Mole's fifth-season finale is currently slated to air August 11.
