The latest episode of ABC's new reality dating series from The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss featured 10 men -- selected by a panel of matchmakers -- attempting to win the heart of a woman whose identity was initially concealed from them by participating in four pageant-style rounds of competition.
Latoya, a 33-year-old attorney from Dallas, TX, revealed she's been in love one time to a great man but he sadly passed away in a car accident. LaToya admitted it's taken a long time for her to move on, but now she's willing to participate in a crazy adventure to find love that she believed could work.
The men were then brought out onstage one by one.
Tyler was welcomed onstage first, and then he was followed by Anthony Duluc, a 24-year-old fashion designer from New York, NY; Kenneth O'Brock, a 35-year-old real estate agent from Frisco, TX; Jacky Tran, a 24-year-old choreographer from Atlanta, GA; and Michael Neely, a 28-year-old manager from Chicago, IL.
Next up was Brennan Manuel, a 33-year-old fashion designer from New Orleans, LA; Shaun Fury, a 26-year-old security officer from Mount Holly, NJ; Spencer Nellen, a 28-year-old construction worker from Miami, FL; Shawn Don, a 28-year-old city commissioner from Palm Springs, CA; and finally Garland, a 26-year-old healthcare worker from St. Louis, MO.

After brief introductions, Latoya decided she'd like to see more of the following men: Tyler, Michael, Kenneth, Jacky, Anthony, Garland, and Shawn Don.
It then became time for the best of beachwear or swimwear round. While most of the men felt comfortable enough to go shirtless, Shawn wore a tank top.
A few highlights of this round turned out to be Tyler revealing he was obese growing up and had been bullied but he's more confident than ever now; Shawn rapping for Latoya and telling her that he wants to love her like Kanye West loves himself; and Garland disclosing he has a beloved son at home.
Once this round concluded, Latoya advanced the men she'd like to get to know better in no particular order: Kenneth, Garland, Michael, and Tyler.

In the next stage of competition, Latoya was allowed to ask each man a serious question about topics that matter to her, such as religion, politics, sex, or past relationships -- and each guy was given 30 seconds to answer.

Michael was asked whether he ever dated a woman with a white-collar job. While he hasn't dated someone with such a profession before, Michael said he would support and encourage his partner's dreams and goals -- and he'd never hold a woman back.
Kenneth admitted he never dated a woman from another race for a long period of time but he has absolutely no problem with being in an interracial romance. He also donates his time to helping inner-city children.
Latoya questioned Tyler on how his weight-loss affected his sex life, and he cracked a joke that the transformation certainly enhanced his experiences dating and with intimacy.
And finally, Garland opened up about his relationship with his son's mother. Garland said there were no problems between them and they have an amicable dynamic while raising their son together.
Following the interview round, Latoya wanted to keep seeing Michael, Tyler and Garland.
The three guys then got to meet Latoya's mother, Verna, who was afforded the opportunity to ask each man a question since he could potentially become her future son-in-law.

Verna found out Tyler would love to become a part of her family while Michael would always work hard to make her daughter happy and their relationship work.
Towards the end of the show, Latoya could sincerely see herself accepting a marriage proposing from Tyler or Garland.
As a result, the two men got to meet Latoya face-to-face. The guys had big smiles on their faces when she walked out, so they seemed very pleased with her appearance. Garland was even shown whispering to himself, "She is beautiful."
Tyler and Garland were then instructed to explain to Latoya how far they'd be willing to go for love and for her.
In his speech, Tyler said he was "blown away by [her] beauty" but also by how she seemed to be a beautiful person on the inside with great ideals.
Tyler ultimately got down on one knee and presented Latoya with an engagement ring, but he said, "I'm proposing -- that you come with me to Cape Cod and meet my family."

Tyler continued, "And at that point, if you love my family and your family gives me their blessing, I'd love to get married to you with this ring."
When it became time for Garland to make his plea to Latoya, he said he's a guy who believes in patience. He could see great qualities by looking into Latoya's eyes and said he wanted to get to know her emotionally, mentally and physically.
"I want you to meet my son. You know what?... This is a one-time opportunity, so why not!" Garland said as he got down on one knee. "Latoya, will you continue this journey with me, through the good and the bad, and live happily ever after?"
In the end, Latoya received one actual marriage proposal from Garland but she decided to date Tyler instead! Latoya appreciated how "honest and present" Tyler had been.
Tyler and Latoya then shared a hug and sweet little kiss onstage, and Garland appeared shocked and disappointed.
