Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas have separated.
The 48-year-old "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star confirmed the news in an interview Tuesday with The Daily Dish.
Bailey, who shares 16-year-old daughter Noel with actor Leon Robinson, married Thomas in July 2010.
"Peter and I separated. He lives in Charlotte, and I live in Atlanta," the star revealed. "I am definitely taking some time to myself to figure out how I want to move forward. I don't want to rush into anything, so I think this time apart is good for us."
"I think it gives people time to think and process and just move forward in a way that really is healthy for everyone involved," she explained. "Regardless of where I am with Peter, he is my husband. I will always love him, and I will always support him. And I believe he feels the same about me."
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" fans have seen plenty of Bailey and Thomas' ups and downs since the couple joined the Bravo series in Season 3. The pair appeared to be doing well for a time but were struggling as of the Season 8 reunion in March.
"I will say that Peter and I are not in a great place right now," Bailey admitted on Reality Checked with Amy Phillips the same month. "Honestly, I don't know what's going to happen with us right now, we're still trying to figure it out."
"We're the only couple on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' that actually was married on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta.' We've never been married outside of the show, and I don't think that it's helped us a lot," she suggested.
Bailey and Thomas filmed their wedding for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Season 3 finale, which aired in January 2011. The series completed an eighth season in April and was renewed for Season 9 the same month.
