"I don't even know what to say. I don't know what to say. I can't believe it. I'm just so humbled to have shared this stage with my best friends. They're my family and these 16 amazing groups -- I can't believe this is happening," Scott Hoying said after his group's victory was announced.
Pentatonix -- which also consisted of members Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, Kirstin Maldonado and Kevin Olusola -- defeated Dartmouth Aires, an a cappella group from Hanover, NH, who finished second.
Urban Method, an a cappella group from Denver, CO, came in third place.
"We leave the stage tonight humble and grateful. We're so thankful for our many supporters, our many fans that we gained throughout this crazy journey on this show -- much love to all our families and friends. Thank you very much. I love my team and I love ya'll," Mykal Hudson said after his group's elimination was announced.
In addition to performances from the competition's groups, the finale also featured guest performances by judges Sara Bareilles and Ben Folds, host Nick Lachey, and singer Smokey Robinson.
The Sing-Off's special holiday-themed episode, A Sing-Off Christmas, will air on Monday, December 5 at 8PM ET/PT and feature performances from first-season champions Nota; second-season winners Committed and runner-ups Street Corner Symphony; second-season groups The Backbeats and On the Rocks; first-season group Beezlebubs; and many of the third season's Top 10 groups. Rapper Flo Rida will also perform, along with Bareilles, Folds and fellow judge Shawn Stockman.
