The Voice commenced its seventh-season "Knockout Round," advancing eight artists to the next phase of the competition, during Monday night's broadcast on NBC.

In the "Knockout Round," two members from the same team sing a song of their choice one at a time. The artists' coach must then decide which of the two singers should remain on his or her team. All the contestants are mentored by Taylor Swift in addition to The Voice coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Pharrell Williams.
For "Team Gwen," Bryana Salaz sang "Heart Attack" and was followed by Sugar Joanes' rendition of "Love On Top." Bryana won the round but Sugar was stolen by Pharrell.
Blake paired James David Carter, who performed "You've Got A Friend," with Griffin, who sang "As Long As You Love Me." James knocked out Griffin.
Blake also matched up Jessie Pitts and Tanner Linford. Jessie won the knockout after singing "Your Song." Tanner performed "Calling All Angels."
Adam declared Damien the winner of his knockout after he faced Toia Jones. Damien sang "How Do I Live," while Toia performed "Crazy In Love."
For "Team Pharrell," Danica Shirey sang "Saving All My Love For You" and was followed by Katriz Trinidad's version of "Superwoman." Danica won the round.
Pharrell also paired Luke Wade, who performed "Rich Girl," with Taylor Phelan, who sang "Rather Be." Luke knocked out Taylor, but all three of the other coaches wanted Taylor on their team. After Adam, Gwen and Blake fought for the artist, Taylor picked Adam.
The Voice's seventh season will feature two more episodes of the "Knockout Round" before airing a recap special and then the "Live Playoffs."
