The Voice eliminated five incredible artists during Tuesday night's live results show on NBC, and they all took the time to discuss their experiences on the show and leaving the competition right as the finale approaches.

Jordan Smith, Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts and Jeffery Austin are still in the running for the Season 9 title.

During a Wednesday media call, Madi Davis, Braiden Sunshine, Zach Seabaugh and Shelby Brown talked to Reality TV World about the shock of their ousters, whether they feel they had a losing battle against country music, and why Jordan is pretty much in a league of his own.

Below is what they had to say. The Voice eliminee Amy Vachal joined the call late so she wasn't able to answer our questions. Check back with Reality TV World soon for more from this lengthy interview with Season 9's five semifinalists -- including more from Amy.

Reality TV World: Five people getting cut last night was huge and you all did amazing and deserved to be in the finale. But was anyone here not really expecting to make it through or was anyone particularly shocked they didn't -- or someone else didn't?

Madi Davis: I don't think we can really answer that question well because everyone here is so talented. No one was going to be shocked if one person made it in and certain people didn't. We all knew how yesterday was going to go, and you know, I mean, of course I think some of us are surprised because we have worked very hard. All of us worked very, very hard.

And it would've been nice to get into the finale, but at the end of the day, it's just what people vote for and it seems like that's just what happens. There's no way of knowing what they're going to vote for, so it's impossible to be surprised when someone gets voted for, if that makes any sense. (Laughs)

Shelby Brown: I don't think you can be surprised by anything, because I mean, none of us knew how yesterday was going to go. I mean, every single one of us worked so hard and are so talented. So, there was no surprise to anything, because it literally could've been anyone.

So I don't want to sit here and say that one person was a shock or one person wasn't a shock, because there was no way to predict anything that happened last night.

Reality TV World: Based on Barrett and Emily Ann making the Final 4, and Zach, you, being extremely close, would you guys make a country music connection to the voting, that there's a huge fanbase for either country music or Blake Shelton watching The Voice?

Zach Seabaugh: Yeah, well, I think country music fans are really, really loyal. Especially when it comes to our music with purchasing it and supporting us. Barrett and Emily seemed to have gotten more votes than me, which is perfectly okay. I've grown so close with Barrett and Emily and Blake Shelton throughout this entire show.

I know that we're going to continue to work together once this show wraps. And yeah, I think I've gained a lot of country music fans from the show, and I think that I will be able to carry them on my journey throughout my musical career. I really do hope that they stick with me.

Madi Davis: You know, we all knew going in that Blake -- very early on we were aware that Blake had the country mafia on his side. It was a joke we all had but there was some truth to it, and the show historically loves country music. So, I mean, I'm a fan of country music too. I know if I was watching, his team was so good this year.

And so was Adam's and so was Gwen's, and I mean, on "Team Pharrell," it was me, but something to observe would just be that pop music means "popular" and country music is country music, and the two finalists that aren't on Blake's team are both pop artists, you know?

So I think there is a certain thing that America likes, and that's just what they'll vote for. And at the end of the day, it doesn't mean that there isn't a part of America that doesn't like what I do or what Amy does or what the rest of us do.

It's just a smaller part of the world, and that's okay. I've come to terms with that! And I think that the best I could've hoped for, I think at this point, was making it this far. I'm really just lucky to have gotten to work with the people that I've gotten to work with for as long as I have.

Reality TV World: A lot of people are saying Jordan is sort of in a league of his own. What's your opinion on that? Would you say he pretty much has this competition in the bag or do you still think it's a level playing field out there?

Braiden Sunshine: I don't know what everybody else thinks, but personally, I think he's just such an amazing vocalist and such a genuinely nice human being. And not to say anybody else isn't -- everybody else is an extremely nice person as well.

But, just, his personality and his vocals and the kind of person he is, I would be very surprised if he wasn't going home with a big hunk of metal that says "The Voice" on it. But I mean, it's still a competition and whoever the country wants to win, will take the cake. But I mean, I personally would be very surprised if he didn't take it.
