"Oh dude, soon," Levine, 35, told E! News. "We're looking at the next year. We have some time. Next spring."
Levine previously confessed he'd like to have around 17 children.
"Is that reasonable?" the singer jokingly asked. "I love kids so much though. I love seeing kids on the set too."
So in other words, Levine isn't sure when he'll be starting a family with Prinsloo, a Victoria's Secret model.
"We're gonna do it at some point in the not-so-distant-slash-undisclosed-slash-I-really-have-no-idea-big-question-mark future," he told the website.
According to a source, 25-year-old Prinsloo is trying to hold off a little longer because she's so young.
"She doesn't want to be a mom just yet. She wants to work for a few more years. Adam is really upset, but there's nothing that will change her mind," the source told the Daily Mail.
"Adam has been whining that he doesn't want to be an old dad. He wants to be a daddy right now."
