The Voice determined seven more "battle" round survivors during Tuesday night's broadcast of the NBC reality singing competition's sixth season.

Sam Behymer, Christina Grimmie, Ryan Whyte Maloney, Kaleigh Glanton, Emily B., and Kristen advanced to The Voice's next phase after winning their first respective "battle" round face-offs against fellow contestants Cary Laine, Joshua Howard, Cali Tucker, Noah Lis, Cierra Mickens, and Lindsay Bruce.
The artists squared off in the "battle" rounds after The Voice coaches each selected two members of his or her individual singing team to perform a duet performance that would end with the coach eliminating one of the singers from the competition.
However, similar to previous seasons, each coach was allowed two "steals" in which two losing face-off contestants were added to a different coach's original six-member team of "battle" round winners.
During Tuesday night's broadcast, one contestant was stolen and that person was Cierra. Cierra started out on Shakira's team but was stolen by Usher.
Adam paired up Sam and Cary and required them to sing "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran. Adam also partnered Christina with Joshua and asked them to perform "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift.
Blake paired up Cali and Ryan, instructing them to sing "What's Love Got to Do With It" by Tina Turner for their "battle." Blake also partnered Kaleigh with Noah and had them perform "Everything" by Michael Buble.
For Shakira's team, she paired up Cierra and Emily B. The two girls faced off by singing "Brave" by Sara Bareilles. Shakira also required Kristen to sing "Turn on the Radio" by Reba McEntire against Lindsay.
The contestants who survived their "battle" will now move on to a new "Battles: Round Two" phase of the competition.
In "Battles: Round Two," the remaining contestants will be paired off to perform the same agreed-upon song in a sudden-death match on March 31, April 1 and April 7. Each coach will be allowed only one "steal" during this phase.
Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin will also serve as a universal advisor to all four coaches and their artists in the new round.
Following "Battles: Round Two" the winning contestants will advance to The Voice's "Playoff Rounds," which will further narrow down each coach's team to three members in preparation for the live shows, which will begin airing on April 21 and continue through until the show's May 20 finale. The "Instant Save" format will also return during the live shows.

"Team Adam"
- Sam Behymer
Sam, a Texas-native, always felt out of place growing up until she moved to California and found other artists like her. She is a Pepperdine graduate and a full-time nanny, living in Los Angeles. With her new zip code and confidence, Sam is stepping into the spotlight in the hopes of making it on The Voice.
- Christina Grimmie
Christina first started her career on YouTube and now has more than two million subscribers. Her YouTube popularity landed her an opening spot on the Selena Gomez tour, but she has yet to land a record deal. The Voice is her shot to make it big outside of the online world.
"Team Blake"
- Ryan Whyte Maloney
Ryan's mother played in a band, which sparked his interest in music. Starting in high school, he played in his own band and worked as a garbage man to pay the bills. He is currently living in Las Vegas and hopes The Voice will be his big break.
- Kaleigh Glanton
Growing up, Kaleigh's father played guitar professionally and taught her how to play. In high school, Kaleigh and her dad became a guitar duo, performing at restaurants, weddings, and parties. This is the first time Kaleigh is stepping away from her family duo and hopes to gain the confidence she needs to pursue a solo career.
"Team Usher"
- Cierra Mickens (Stolen from "Team Shakira")
Cierra grew up on a military base in Alaska. Even though she lived in the great outdoors, she spent most of her time singing inside. She had wanted to be a lawyer, and has a degree in criminal justice and political science. Now that she has earned her degree, it's time to give music one last shot.

- Emily B.
Emily grew up in Idaho and was a part of the local music scene. She wanted to pursue music further and moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a session singer. One day at a routine eye exam, she was told she had VHL, a condition that led to two brain surgeries and four eye surgeries. After overcoming these obstacles, Emily is ready to continue pushing forward with her singing career.
- Kristen Merlin
Kristen has always faced ridicule for her tomboy appearance. She loves music and wants to use her passion and the national platform of The Voice to represent others who may be judged by how they look and not who they are. About The Author: Elizabeth Kwiatkowski
