The Voice's musician coaches Shakira, Usher, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton continued to build their teams during the second episode of the initial "blind auditions" phase of the competition.
Adam selected Jon Peter Lewis from Rexburg, ID, and Ryan Hayes from Bear River, UT -- a duo who perform as Midas Whale.
Lewis was a Top 10 finalist on American Idol's third season and finished in eighth place. Adam also opted to have Sarah Simmons from Memphis, TN on his team.
Shakira chose Tawnya Reynolds from Nashville, TN, and Cathia from Bronx, NY.
Usher picked Josiah Hawley from Ft. Smith, AR to be on his team.

Blake recruited no one for his team last night.
The five The Voice acts join the season's eight artists who became team members during Monday night's premiere broadcast.
Below are NBC's full descriptions of each of the four artists and the one duo selected during The Voice's second fourth-season episode:
- Midas Whale ("Team Adam")
One of three vocal duos competing on this season of The Voice, Ryan and Jon met at an open mic night and play all of their own instruments -- guitar, trumpet, accordion, harp, drums, and piano. Both come from large families, but have yet to settle down themselves. They are inspired by Simon & Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers and Van Morrison.
- Sarah Simmons ("Team Adam")
Originally from Alabama, Sarah is currently based in Memphis, performing her unique blend of rock/soul/blues accompanied by piano and guitar. She has been singing since she was a child and loves musicians like Billie Holiday, Brandi Carlisle and Bob Dylan.
- Tawnya Reynolds ("Team Shakira")
Originally from New Mexico but now based in Nashville, Tawnya is a country/folk singer who has been singing and playing guitar since she was six. Her determination is unparalleled, and she moved to Nashville 11 years ago with only $200 in her pocket. Since then, she has struggled to find success but she keeps performing, writing songs and working hard to gain recognition. She is a big fan of Merle Haggard, Vince Gill and George Strait.
- Cathia ("Team Shakira")
Born in the Bronx, 19-year-old Cathia is one of three Latin artists on "Team Shakira." She attended LaGuardia High School, a.k.a. The Fame School, and has performed at Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater. Cathia is inspired by Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion and is currently studying music business at Baruch College.
- Josiah Hawley ("Team Usher")
Originally from Arkansas, Josiah currently lives in Los Angeles working as a model while he pursues his career in music. Not only does Josiah sing, he can also beatbox and loves to ride motorcycles.
