"The winner of The Voice is...." Carson announced at the end of the broadcast.
"Oh my God," yelled Blake, knowing his team member was up against his fiancee's artist for the big win.
"Oh my God!" Gwen shouted, equally hysterical.
"Carter Rubin!" Carson revealed.
Carter won The Voice after receiving the most home viewer votes following Monday night's Top 5 performance show in which each finalist performed two songs -- a cover song and an original single.
This marked Gwen's fifth season as a coach on The Voice but her first victory.
"Not only are you a phenomenal coach, but you are a really phenomenal human," Carter told Gwen shortly before his victory was announced.
"If I've gained one thing from you, it's that you've shown me I can be myself. It's a dream come true to just work with you, and I'm so grateful and honored to have gotten to this point."
While Gwen, Blake and their fellow coaches Kelly Clarkson and John Legend were each represented in The Voice's Season 19 finale, Blake had two team members in the running to win a recording contract.
"Team Blake" member Ian Flanigan, a 30-year-old touring singer and songwriter from Saugerties, NY, finished the reality singing competition in third place.
Fourth place went to "Team Kelly" member Desz, a 30-year-old choir singer from Houston, TX who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

And "Team Legend" member John Holiday, a 35-year-old voice teacher from Rosenberg, TX who currently resides in Appleton, WI, placed fifth.
The finale broadcast also featured performances by the Top 5 artists with their respective coaches as well as Lewis Capaldi, 24kGoldn, Lauren Daigle, Jason Derulo, Dan + Shay, Julia Michaels with JP Saxe, and Keith Urban with P!nk.
On Monday night's final performance show, Carter sang "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus for his cover song and debuted his new original single "Up From Here."
Jim took the stage with "Last" for his original single as impressed with his cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends" by Joe Cocker.
