Jon Peter Lewis from Rexburg, ID, and Ryan Hayes from Bear River, UT -- a duo who perform as Midas Whale; Kris Thomas from Memphis, TN; Vedo from Decatur, CA; Savannah Berry from Missouri City, TX; Ryan Innes from Holladay, UT; and Monique Abbadie from Miami, FL, advanced to The Voice's "knockout" round.
Midas Whale, Kris, Vedo, Savannah, Ryan, and Monique moved forward in the competition after they won their respective "battle" round face-offs against fellow contestants Patrick Dodd, C. Perkins, Jessica Childress, Jacqui Sandell, Orlando Dixon, and Luke Edgemon.
The acts squared off in the "battle" rounds after The Voice coaches each selected two members of his or her individual singing team to perform a duet performance that would end with the coach eliminating one of the singers from the competition.
However, similar to last season, each coach is allowed two "steals" all season in which two losing face-off contestants may be added to a different coach's original six-member team of "battle" round-winners.
During Monday night's broadcast, three contestants were stolen: C. Perkins from New Orleans, LA, Luke from Fayetteville, NC, and Orlando from Colmar Manor, MD.
Midas Whale and Patrick were matched up by Adam and required to sing "Burning Love" by Elvis Presley.
Kris and C. Perkins were paired up by Shakira and performed a duet of "It Will Rain" by Bruno Mars. C. Perkins was stolen by Usher.
Shakira also paired Luke and Monique together to sing "You and I" by Lady Gaga. Luke was stolen by Blake.
Vedo and Jessica were selected by Usher and assigned "Locked Out of Heaven" by Bruno Mars for their "battle" round.
Usher also matched up Orlando and Ryan, who were required to perform "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers. Orlando was stolen by Adam.
Blake paired Jacqui and Savannah and then had them perform "Little White Church" by Little Big Town.
The nine artists join the seven and nine semifinalists who had advanced during last week's two "battle round" episodes.
