The Voice determined seven of its 32 "knockout" round semifinalists during Tuesday night's broadcast of the NBC reality singing competition's fifth season.

The Voice coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton each continued whittling down their fifth-season teams from 12 to eight artists during the season's "battle" rounds.

Ashley DuBose, Ray Boudreaux, E. G. Daily, Kat Robichaud, Cole Vosbury, and Matthew Schuler advanced to The Voice's "knockout" round.

Ashley, Ray, E.G., Kat, Cole, and Matthew moved forward in the competition after they won their respective "battle" round face-offs against fellow contestants Justin Blake, Monika Leigh, Sam Cerniglia, R. Anthony, Lupe Carroll, and Jacob Poole.

The artists squared off in the "battle" rounds after The Voice coaches each selected two members of his or her individual singing team to perform a duet performance that would end with the coach eliminating one of the singers from the competition.

However, similar to previous seasons, each coach is allowed two "steals" all season in which two losing face-off contestants may be added to a different coach's original six-member team of "battle" round winners.

During Tuesday night's broadcast, one contestant was stolen: Monika.

Adam matched up Ashley and Justin, requiring them to sing "Just a Fool" by Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton.

Blake paired Monika and Ray, who then performed a duet of "Some Kind of Wonderful" by Grand Funk. Monika was stolen by Cee Lo.

Blake also paired up E.G. and Sam and assigned them "Something to Talk About" by Bonnie Raitt.

Kat and R. Anthony were paired by Cee Lo and required to perform "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith.

Cee Lo also matched up Cole and Lupe, who were given the song "Toto" by Africa to sing.

Christina paired Jacob and Matthew and had them perform "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark" by Fall Out Boy.
