Hill, Sometimes, Simms, Yarbrough, Pavao, and Rogers moved forward in the competition after they won their respective "battle" round face-offs against fellow contestants Geoff McBride, Lex Land, Sarah Golden, Whitney Myer, Lee Koch, and Jamie Lono.
The six singers joined fellow finalists Tony Lucca, a singer from Waterford, MI; RaeLynn, a singer from Baytown, TX; Chris Mann, a singer from Wichita, KS; Cheesa Laureta, a singer from Honolulu, HI; Jordis Unga, a singer from Ridgeland, MN; and Jesse Campbell, a singer from Chicago, IL, who had all advanced during last week's "battle" round broadcast.
The contestants squared off in the "battle" round face-offs after The Voice coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton each selected two members of their individual singing teams to perform a duet performance that would end with the coach eliminating one of the singers from the competition.
Hill and McBride, a singer from Santa Rosa Beach, FL, were matched-up by Aguilera and required to sing Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools."
Shelton paired Sometimes and Land, a singer from Orange County, CA, and then had them perform a duet of Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks."
Simms and Golden, a singer from Houston, TX, were selected by Green and assigned Rod Stewart's "Stay With Me" for their "battle" round.
Yarbrough and Myer, a singer from Reno, NV, were paired by Levine and required to perform Mary J. Blige's "No More Drama."
Pavao and Koch, a singer from Temecula, CA, were matched-up by Aguilera and instructed to sing Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" for their "battle" round.
Green paired Rogers and Lono, a singer from Vernon Hills, IL, and then had them perform a duet of Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is."
Monday night's The Voice broadcast was the second of the competition's four "battle" round episodes.
