Billy is on Adam Levine's team, We is on Alicia Keys' team, and Sundance represents Blake Shelton's team on the show.
Aaron Gibson, a 25-year-old from Atlanta, GA who currently resides in Kennesaw, GA; and Brendan Fletcher, a 26-year-old bartender from Randolph, NJ who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, received the lowest number of home viewer votes cast following that performance show, so they were immediately ousted from the competition.
Aaron was on Miley Cyrus' team, while Brendan represented Adam.
Christian Cuevas, a 20-year-old college student from Rochester, NY who currently resides in Orlando, FL, and Ali Caldwell, a 28-year-old from Woodbridge, NJ who currently resides in New York, NY, were also sent home; however, they were afforded the opportunity to sing for survival via the show's "Instant Save" format.
Josh Gallagher, a 25-year-old from Johnstown, PA who currently resides in Nashville, TN, was also in jeopardy with Christian and Ali, but America ultimately tweeted to keep him in the competition.
Christian was on Alicia's team, Ali was on "Team Miley," and Josh remains on Adam's team going forward.
For the "Instant Save" portion of last night's results show, Christian performed "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt. Alicia said every person can feel the soul he delivers in every performance and there is never an "unpure" note that leaves his voice. Alicia insisted he deserves to be in the finale.
Ali belted out "Sledgehammer" by Rihanna. Miley was so excited about the performance that she told Ali she almost passed out. Miley didn't know how Ali performed so well under all the pressure of the "Instant Save." Ali pushed right through the song and Miley was extremely proud of her.
Those two performances were tough to beat, but America determined Josh -- who sang "I Drive Your Truck" by Lee Brice -- won the battle. Adam told home viewers to vote for Josh if they wanted to see something different in the finale since the other finalists are all powerhouse singers.
Adam also promised Josh has a lot more to give and will bring something new to the table next week.
By the end of the final commercial break, Josh was leading in tweets 45% to Ali's 30% and Christian's 25%. As a result, Josh advanced, sending Ali and Christian home.
