The Voice's penultimate episode featured Season 11's four finalists singing blow for blow in what turned out to be an epic night of performances, including original songs.

The race was tight, but based on the audience's response as well as reactions from The Voice coaches Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton, the winner will probably be Sundance or Billy.
For Sundance's original song, he penned a tune called "Darlin' Don't Go" inspired by an argument he had with his beloved wife. His coach, Blake, couldn't believe how excellent the song was, nevermind the fact the incredibly talented artist and vocalist hadn't been discovered yet. Blake called the performance "perfect," and it was clear everyone else was blown away by it as well.
For his cover song, Sundance belted out his own bluesy rendition of "At Last" by Etta James. His unique artistry surprised viewers once again, and Blake could not have been more happy for him or proud. Blake said it was as if a "classic, iconic vocalist" was just randomly dropped on The Voice stage to sing for everyone.
Billy gave Sundance a serious run for his money with "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Miley noted that Billy -- who broke down into tears at the end of his performance -- should feel so much pride and joy. His coach, Adam, explained that Billy poured his heart out onto the stage.
"You've just won the voice," Adam bravely insisted, before repeating again that Billy won the show with that performance.
Adam gave Billy an original song called "Because of Me" that had initially been written for Maroon 5. Adam knew Billy would connect with the piece of music in a special way, and he was right. The catchy pop tune about love delivered a message everyone can understand with lyrics everyone can connect to, according to Adam. The Maroon 5 frontman said it was "a definitive moment" in Billy's career.
We McDonald's original song was called "Wishes" and it showed how she's overcome a past of bullying. Alicia told her team member that We is the truth and represents diversity and unlimited potential. Alicia pointed out there is no ceiling for We, her talent and the possibilities.
We also sang the spirited "Don't Rain On My Parade" song by Barbra Streisand. Her performance was full of character and energy. Alicia said it was "unique and special" and We stands with anyone who has ever felt unappreciated, unknown or unloved.
Josh's original song was called "Pick Any Small Town," which he co-wrote with former fellow "Team Adam" member Nolan Neal. The country song was fun, and Adam said he killed the performance. Adam felt just the way he had hoped to feel following Josh's delivery of the song.
Josh also delivered a great rendition of the popular song "Jack & Diane" by John Mellencamp. Adam noted that Josh and this song were meant to be together because the performance was that great. Adam thanked his team member for a job well done.
For the duets, We and Alicia sang "Ave Maria" in which both ladies played the piano and sang simultaneously, Billy and Adam let loose with "Bye Bye Love," Josh and Adam rocked out to "Smooth," and Sundance and Blake bonded over a performance of "Treat Her Right."
