The Voice eliminated a whopping four artists, which determined the fifteenth season's Top 4 finale contenders during Tuesday night's live results broadcast on NBC.

The Voice Results began with host Carson Daly announcing the three artists who had received the most home viewer votes following Monday night's Top 8 performance show and therefore would be automatically advancing to next week's finale.
In no particular order, those artists were Blake Shelton's team members Kirk Jay, a 22-year-old from Bay Minette, AL, and Chris Kroeze, a 27-year-old from Barron, WI, as well as Kelly Clarkson's team member Chevel Shepherd, a 16-year-old from Farmington, NM.
The two singers who unfortunately received the fewest number of votes and were automatically eliminated were Sarah Grace, a 15-year-old from Houston, TX, and Kymberli Joye, a 26-year-old from Windsor, CT.
Sarah Grace and Kymberli's departures left the remaining three artists -- MaKenzie Thomas, a 20-year-old from Wallingford, KY; Reagan Strange, a 13-year-old from Memphis, TN; and Kennedy Holmes, a 13-year-old from St. Louis, MO -- in jeopardy, but they were able to duke it out for the final "Instant Save" of the season.

MaKenzie and Kennedy both represented Jennifer Hudson's team during the results show, while Kymberli was a member of "Team Kelly."
After all three artists sang a survival song last night, America tweeted via the show's "Instant Save" format to keep MaKenzie in the competition, so she will also be singing in The Voice's upcoming finale.
MaKenzie kicked off the elimination format by singing "Up To the Mountain" by Patty Griffin, and she received a standing ovation from the coaches.
Jennifer said she did everything she needed to do to stick around, but no matter what happens, The Voice will give her an amazing platform to achieve her dreams.
Reagan then performed "Wherever You Will Go" by The Calling, but her nerves seemed to get the best of her.

Adam said The Voice is not a bad start to her very long life and career. Reagan's coach hoped America would vote her through to the finale, but regardless of the outcome, he said he was super proud of her and wished her the best.
Adam also later complimented her voice, her grace and her elegance, insisting she deserved to be in the finale because she's a wonderful singer but also a "tremendous" human being.
For her "Instant Save" song, Kennedy belted out "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes.
Jennifer didn't have the time to say much, but she quickly begged home viewers to vote for this talented artist.
Home viewers then had a brief five-minute window to vote in real time for MaKenzie, Reagan or Kennedy to stay on The Voice via Twitter.

By the end of the commercial break, Kennedy was leading with 49 percent of the vote, compared to MaKenzie with 37 percent and then Reagan with 14 percent of the vote.
After each artist thanked her coach for his or her support, advice and guidance, Carson announced Kennedy had been saved by America and will compete to be crowned the next winner of The Voice.
