The Voice's Top 4 contestants performed for home viewers votes in the finals during Monday night's Season 15 penultimate broadcast on NBC.

The Voice's finale competitors were Chris Kroeze, a 27-year-old from Barron, WI; Chevel Shepherd, a 16-year-old from Farmington, NM; Kennedy Holmes, a 13-year-old from St. Louis, MO; and Kirk Jay, a 22-year-old from Bay Minette, AL.

All four artists performed live in front of the show's four coaches: Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

The four finalists each performed three times on Monday night -- a new cover, a duet with his or her coach and the debut of an original single -- in the hopes of receiving enough votes from America to be crowned the next winner of The Voice.

Chris, who represents Blake's team, took the stage first with "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd for his cover.

Kelly called him "a rad vocalist" but said his guitar skills are also "off the charts."

Adam complimented Chris' guitar skills as well, saying he's "amazing" and did a "fantastic job."

And Blake gushed about how his team member had a fun journey on the show and he was glad to be a part of it because he stayed the course and continuously connected with the audience.

"Not just anybody can get up here and do Sweet Home Alabama and kill it like you just did," Blake told Chris.

"Team Kelly" member Chevel then sang "It's a Little Too Late" by Tanya Tucker for her cover song.

Since Adam has said so many great things about Chevel in the past, he wasn't sure he had anything great left to say. Adam therefore admitted his feedback was going to be "stupid and boring."

"Gosh, you just have a classic voice... it's so big and classic and powerful and refined in what it needs to be -- country. It's so special and I've thought that since Day 1," Adam told her.

Kelly was so excited for the artist and loved the song for her. Kelly said she did an "amazing job" with the song and had fun challenging herself.

Kelly added that she can't wait to hear Chevel's record.

Next up was Kirk Jay from Blake's team with his original single "Defenseless."

Jennifer admitted she's a huge fan of Kirk and he belongs in this music industry. Jennifer insisted Kirk had made her a fan of country music as well and she hopes he will continue, make it to the top, and continue blessing people with his talent and special sound.

"I love you Kirk, I do... There are so many things I could talk about right now, but the most important thing I just heard from Jennifer is the fact you made her a fan -- a country fan," Blake told his team member.

"Listen to that! That is what you are in the position to do, man. I've got to do this. I want to be the first to say, welcome to the country music family. You are the real deal."

Kennedy, a member of Jennifer's team, then performed her original single "Love Is Free."

Kelly got a 90s vibe from Kennedy's song and she said it will fit on the radio right now and it seemed like she had so much fun on the show.

Jennifer was glad to see Kennedy taking advantage of her own artistry, enjoying herself and showing who she really is.

"I feel you made the room feel how you feel right now, which is very important," Jennifer explained.

"It's so amazing to see your process. It even inspires me to see how take every note and put it into your work and then you come back another level up... You are made to be right where you are."

Chris then took the stage with his original single called "Human." Blake even admitted he wanted this song on his own record.

Jennifer told Chris her entire country playlist is going to be comprised of his hits as well as Kirk Jay's hits. She said his voice is his "own thing," which makes him stand out.

After Jennifer noted she'd attend his future concert, Blake explained Chris can't be put in one category because he's "so talented" and his voice can lend itself to so many different things.

Blake was proud of Chris for singing a song with so much meaning, and he noted his team member had "one hell of a moment."

Next up was Kirk Jay with a cover of "Stand By You" by Rascal Flatts.

"That's the stuff of a finale," The Voice host Carson Daly told Kirk before the coaches started to speak their praise.

Adam said it was a really hard song to sing but it's a testament to his ability as a vocalist to get the job done. The coach said his voice stands out and it's the "most valuable thing" to have as a singer.

Blake agreed, saying the second Kirk starts singing, everyone instantly knows who it is.

"I truly believe in my heart, especially after that second performance -- which, by the way, was brilliant -- we are going to be hearing you on the radio," Blake insisted.

Chevel then took the stage with the debut of her original single, "Broken Hearts."

Adam told Chevel she's "awesome" and has always led with the music. Adam adored her "simple and straight forward performance" and said her voice is "instantly identifiable."

And Chevel made Kelly cry. Kelly said she loves Chevel and loves that song and had been waiting for that song to find its perfect home.

"I think you are such a magical being, especially for women in country music. It's so special what you represent, not just for girls your age but for women. It was just so beautiful," Kelly gushed.

Finally, Kennedy closed the show with a show-stopping performance of "Confident" by Demi Lovato. Kennedy broke it down and executed a little choreography in addition to nailing the vocals throughout the song.

People in the audience were shaking their heads in disbelief of Kennedy's obvious talent, and Jennifer's jaw was dropped.

"It's as loud as it's ever been in this room," Carson noted as fans were screaming all around him.

"There are so many things to be said. First of all, this girl just turned 14. She is the youngest in this competition and that was a true professional right there in every way," Jennifer yelled.

"I thought Beyonce was up there, Lord!"

As for the night's duets, Kirk Jay and Blake sang "You Look So Good in Love" by George Strait, Kennedy and Jennifer performed "Home" by Diana Ross, Chevel and Kelly belted out "Rockin' with the Rhythm of the Rain" by The Judds, and Chris and Blake sang "Two More Bottles of Wine" by Emmylou Harris.

The Voice will crown its Season 15 winner on Tuesday night's upcoming show.
