The Voice advanced five talented artists, including the smoky sounds of Domenic Haynes and the show's first-ever trio, during Tuesday night's Season 16 episode.

The singers who were shown making a team and advancing to the Battle Round were Domenic Haynes, an 18-year-old from Tampa, FL; Savannah Brister, a 17-year-old from Memphis, TN; The Bundys, a trio of performers; Hannah Kay, an 18-year-old from Magnolia, TX; and Julian King, a 25-year-old from Philadelphia, PA.

Domenic Haynes kicked off the night of performances and took the stage with "River."
Adam turned around in the first few seconds of the song, and then John turned his chair but Adam blocked him.
John didn't even seem to notice Adam's move as he danced to Domenic's groove. Blake also then turned his chair around for the artist.
John said Domenic was his favorite singer he's heard thus far because his tone is "so interesting and beautiful." John also noted he made excellent choices with every word he sang.
"I'm amazed! I'm so impressed with what you did," John gushed.
Adam said it hurt him to have to block John but he had to do it in order to get Domenic on his team.
"I think you might be my favorite singer in all 16 seasons of the show. There is a raw soul that is missing right now from music," Adam told the artist.
Blake also got wrapped up in the performance and said Domenic will be able to separate himself from anybody else on the show and anyone on the radio right now.
"Anyone who tries to do what you did, they are going to have to try to imitate what you naturally do. Congratulations for that," Blake noted.

Kelly agreed Domenic was "so cool" and a "natural-born storyteller."

After hearing what the coaches had to say, Domenic decided to join Adam's team after the coach gushed about having felt the vocals in his bones. Adam called him "an uncut diamond."
John joked about how he's the most-blocked coach in history and he looks forward to crushing another coach's dreams this season on the show.
Savannah Brister then sang a stripped-down version of "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing," and it only took one line to convince John to turn around.
Kelly soon followed and turned her chair. Kelly said her runs were incredible and she's so talented.
"I would love to see you conquer this competition," Kelly noted.
John said he felt the energy and figured he would love the entire performance -- and he didn't let her down. John appreciated her daring musical choices and insisted she had executed them with "perfection."

The Bundys, a trio of performers, then belted out "Closer To Fine," and Kelly and Blake both pressed their buttons.
This marked the first time a trio had ever auditioned for The Voice.

Adam complimented their harmonies and confessed he was sad he didn't turn around. John was confused and didn't know how to deal with the group, but Kelly insisted she knew exactly what to do.
Kelly said she could be a solid coach for the trio because she loves harmonies and almost had a career as a backup vocalist. Blake, however, argued he wanted to be a part of this "historic journey."
Despite Blake's begging, The Bundys chose to join "Team Kelly."
Hannah Kay then sang "Coal Miner's Daughter," and both Blake and Kelly turned their chairs around.
Kelly loved the authentic country sound given it's missing in music today, and she boasted her connections in the industry as well as having the same manager as Blake.
Blake noted Hannah could be the one who gets classic country back into mainstream music. He called her "the real deal" and said he worshipped her sound.
Hannah ultimately picked Blake as her coach, which wasn't a surprise since she's had a crush on him for 12 years.
Julian King was up next, and he belted out "All Time Low" for his Blind Audition.
Both Adam and John turned around at the same time at the beginning of Julian's song, but John decided to block Adam.

John said Julian's voice was so clear and powerful. He could envision him becoming an artist like Usher.
One artist, however, unfortunately didn't make the cut.
Klea Olson, a 20-year-old from Layton, UT, took the stage with "No Roots" and none of the coaches expressed interest. But Klea will enter "The Comeback Competition" behind the scenes of The Voice this season.
