The Voice featured its finalists Maelyn Jarmon, Dexter Roberts, Gyth Rigdon, and Andrew Sevener each taking the stage with three powerful songs -- including brand new original singles -- during Part 1 of the show's Season 16 finale Monday night on NBC.

Each of the Top 4 finalists sang three times for home viewer votes -- a cover song, a duet with his or her coach, and the debut of his or her original single.
Maelyn, a 26-year-old from Frisco, TX, kicked off the show by performing her new original song "Wait For You."
Maelyn's connection to the song is the fact her boyfriend is waiting for her back home and she doesn't want him to go anywhere.
All of the coaches gave Maelyn a standing ovation, and her own coach John Legend appeared especially proud of her performance.

"I do believe everyone in this finale is fantastic, but I also believe you are the person that should be winning this thing. I really do," Adam Levine announced, insisting he wasn't trying to knock rival Blake Shelton or the three finalists representing the country coach's team.
John gushed about how he loves this song for Maelyn and thinks it was the perfect choice for her. He thought she sang it "with so much heart and beauty," and John called her vocals "flawless."
For his cover song, Dexter, a 27-year-old from Fayette, AL, took the stage with "Anything Goes" by Randy Houser.
Kelly Clarkson called this her favorite performance by Dexter this season other than his song in the Blind Auditions. She could envision him on the radio and admitted she's a big fan.
Adam said Dexter "has greatness" in "spades," and then his coach Blake pointed out how it was the perfect song choice for him for the finale.

Blake wanted America to know Dexter is a classy guy who pours his heart and soul into every performance. Blake called Dexter "the next George Strait."
Andrew, a 22-year-old from Alvarado, TX, then belted out his new original single that showcases his love for raising hell called "Rural Route Raising."
Before hearing from his coach Blake, Kelly noted a mix of old and new country is "a really killer sound" for Andrew and he should continue to make records like this.
Blake said Andrew never sounded better and he'll probably be singing this tune for the rest of his life -- so he better like it.
Gyth, a 25-year-old from Singer, LA, was up next with his cover performance of "Once In a Blue Moon" by Earl Thomas Conley.

Kelly said this was her favorite song of the entire season to choose and it was a very "smart selection." John agreed it was a challenging song but Gyth had handled it so well and did a great job.
And then Gyth's coach Blake gushed about how he had honored a country-music hero and did an absolutely great job.
Dexter continued the performance show with his original song called "Looking Back," which he can relate to because of a past relationship with a woman who seemed to get away.
Kelly said she's such a fan of Dexter's voice and admitted he's been her favorite country artist throughout this whole competition. She said he's "authentic" and "not calculated," which America has probably picked up on.
Adam acknowledged Dexter is coming into his own "at the perfect time" and he's "a solid human being" as well as a "fantastic artist."

Blake could see Dexter was ready to step away from The Voice, make an album, get on the radio and become "a superstar right now." Blake felt he's more ready than any other artist on the show.
For his cover song, Andrew decided to take the stage with "Lips Of An Angel" by Hinder.
"What?! That was so good!" Kelly yelled, adding that it was "great" and the choice of winner is going to be really "hard" for home viewers.
And John was also pretty blown away by Andrew's performance.
"As of now, you know who I want to win this competition, but I will say if I had to pick among Team Blake, as of now, I feel I would pick Andrew," John announced.
Blake pointed out Andrew was having "a breakout night" and "killing it." Blake didn't even know what to say because it seemed he didn't expect this from his team member.
Gyth debuted his "deeply personal" brand new single called "Proof I've Always Loved You," according to The Voice host Carson Daly.
Gyth is the only person in the finale who wrote his or her own original song.
The coaches applauded Gyth's song about soul mates, and Kelly noted it was "really cool" and he just showed another layer of himself as an artist.
Adam told Gyth he "has it all" and he was "born to be here in this moment." Adam called him "a major contender in this thing" and predicted he'll have a very successful career.
Blake felt Gyth had raised the bar in the finale because he's "the total package" and could definitely win The Voice.

And finally, Maelyn closed the show with a stellar performance of "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen.
"Oh my God!" John could be heard yelling over the screaming and cheering audience. "Yes! Yes!"
Adam called the performance "insane" and admitted, "I don't know how it would be possible for you not to win this show."
Adam continued, "Only because that song is unbelievable and to sing it the way you did in this moment was so special. You are an angel from heaven and it's unbelievable to hear you sing."
John said Maelyn is a stunning and amazing artist and it was her best performance yet. He noted it was "transporting and transfixing," everything one would want music to be.
"Please vote for Maelyn. She deserves this trophy. She deserves to win The Voice!" John insisted.
In addition, Andrew and Blake sang "All Right Now" by Free together, Gyth and Blake sang a duet of "Take It Easy" by the Eagles -- the Travis Tritt version -- Maelyn and John performed "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole, and Dexter and Blake sang a duet of "Hard Workin' Man" by Brooks & Dunn.
