The Voice coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Pharrell Williams automatically sent six artists through to the Knockout Round after they won their respective battles, and one additional artist was stolen, meaning he'll move on in the competition but as a member of a different team.

Adam, whose adviser was Tori Kelly, paired Laith Al-Saadi and Matt Tedder to perform the song "Honky Tonk Women." Adam said it was one of the best matched battles of the season. He noted Matt is a tremendous guitarist and is young and up-and-coming, while Laith rattles the room with his voice and is more established.

Adam ended up picking the person who genuinely deserved to win the battle, and that individual was Laith.

Pharrell, who was working with Sean "Diddy" Combs, matched Caity Peters with Joe Vivona for a performance of "Honesty." Pharrell admitted the song was a struggle for Caity because of her tone and where the song is naturally, but there was a moment she really dug deep "like a fire-breathing dragon." On the other hand, Joe overcame one of the most severe cases of nerves Pharrell had ever seen and belted without fear.

Pharrell decided to go with his heart and declared Caity the winner of the battle.

Blake, whose adviser was his girlfriend and former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani, asked Brittany Kennell to face off against Trey O'Dell with the song "The Chain." Trey came out swinging in his Blind Audition, but Blake complimented him for sounding even better now -- as he was consistent through the whole song. Meanwhile, Blake told Brittany she has great vibrato and can hold beautiful notes for a long time.

Blake followed his gut and selected Brittany as the winner. However, Christina, whose adviser was Patti LaBelle, opted to steal Trey for her own team, and he was ecstatic and thankful.

The Voice broadcast also showed three short clips of more Battle Round winners. Blake picked Peyton Parker the winner of her battle over Gina Castanzo, Christina wanted Joe Maye on her team going forward instead of Ayanna Jahnee, and Adam declared Owen Danoff had defeated John Gilman in their battle.
